We've just finished the design stage of a significant back-yard upgrade to a steep, challenging site. Canopy Design were thorough in their approach and all our requirements were met from a custom built sauna to take in mountain views to a pool that had to work around underground pipes. Plans included upgrading our existing gardens and ensuring the "new" project blended beautifully with the infrastructure we already have. Canopy have been reliable and enjoyable to work with.

Emily's design for our entrance, its wayfinding and our retaining walls was exciting and very clearly communicated. Her drawings were so clever and well-labelled that we were able to quickly grasp the future state of the spaces. Her local and indigenous plant selections were very well thought out, and we look forward to seeing the transformation take place over the coming months.

Emily Hanekroot is a knowledgeable and experienced landscape designer who is very easy to collaborate with. As architects, we're always looking for consultants who are willing to engage early and work in a collaborative, communicative and organised manner alongside us and we found Canopy Design Studio to perfectly fit this description. It can be tricky to find landscape designers who are across everything from horticulture and plant selection to construction details and technical standards like accessibility codes, but we've found Emily delivers across all of these areas. Emily saw our 40 year old (overgrown) garden at Stanley and immediately grasped the brief to upgrade and improve it. She suggested creative steps that I had not considered and now that the plans are being implemented, I can see the results will be a huge improvement. Emily is also an excellent communicator and listener. She was also on time with her promised schedule so I highly recommend her!
