I’ve been a loyal customer of this establishment for three years, and for a long time, it truly felt like a place that prioritized wellness and community. Unfortunately, over the past couple of months, the level of service has declined significantly, and I can no longer justify continuing my care here. The first red flag came when I was unexpectedly asked to step into the owner’s office and informed that I had an outstanding balance due to visits that, according to their records, weren’t properly charged. While I was told this wasn’t my error, I was still held financially responsible for a significant sum. What’s troubling is that I had paid for several of these visits in cash, and yet there was no clear system in place to track or verify those payments. When I tried to explain this, I wasn’t given the opportunity to fully share my side. Instead, I was told to just pay half. I let that go, hoping it was a one-time mishap.Next came confusion over medication pricing. I was quoted $100 per dose, but when I went to purchase a full month’s supply, I was suddenly charged $450. When I asked for an explanation, neither the owner nor the new receptionist could clearly justify the added cost. I wasn’t given the option to pay per dose, despite this being more transparent and manageable. While the extra $50 isn’t a massive amount in the grand scheme of wellness, I believe any charge should be clearly communicated and justified. The final straw came when I scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance to receive my medication—only to be told the morning of that I’d need to reschedule. I asked if I could simply come in to pick up the medication instead, and received no response. At this point, I no longer feel that my well-being is being prioritized, which is incredibly disheartening given how long I’ve trusted this place with my care.I truly believe the owner wants to foster a warm, family-like environment. However, that intention isn’t being matched with consistent communication, proper bookkeeping, or client-centered service. I do hope things turn around, and I believe they can—but I won’t be around to see it.
