At first I thought someone had hacked my account and made off with my checking (a little over $7,000) but a closer look showed that the culprit was the CA Franchise Tax Board (oh joy). The levy was from a court judgment in 2005. Not knowing where to turn, I began to investigate ways to mitigate the damage, and hopefully work out a way to get access to my funds. I need to add that I would rather chew my arm off than deal with a morally corrupt attorney who specializes in separating you from your hard earned cash. The reality was there were limited avenues of finding someone who could help. I came across Carlos Samaniego (Tax Consultant) on YouTube, and watched a few of his educational uploads. I immediately felt like this was a guy that I could trust and I feel like I'm a good judge of character. I signed up for a free phone consultation for the following day. Carlos called me and I explained what had transpired with the COD (Court Ordered Debt). Let me say that Carlos is a good man and easy person to talk to. He broke things down for me and gave me a game plan to deal with the CFTB. He gave me a "secret" number to actually get through to someone in the right department at the CFTB.
