TLDR: employees are great, but owner tried to double my invoice after the service was completed. He cancelled the additional charges after I questioned it, but not before strangely trying to guilt me into paying double. The employees themselves were efficient and did exactly as I requested. I am rating low because of the strange payment interaction I had with the owner after the service was complete. The pricing agreement states '$75/hour' as the standard price, with a 4 hour minimum. I pre-paid for the 4 hours, and when they showed up, the owner said he thought it would actually be an 8 hour job. I verbally agreed to the adjustment. However, the two person team did finish within the original 4 hours that I pre-paid for. I asked the employee how I would pay for any extra time, and he said they didn't end up going over. A few hours later, I get a $300 invoice from the owner for 'additional time'. When I said they finished within the four hours I pre-paid for, he said "it's per man hour, so two people for four hours is eight hours". I have never heard of a cleaning company that charges you for each team member they send out to clean, not to mention the agreement states 'per hour', not man-hour. He responded saying 'well you don't have to pay it if you don't think the work was worth it'. I didn't respond because it's highly unprofessional to try to guilt your customers into paying more than they agreed to pay. He responded shortly after saying he cancelled the invoice. The entire interaction was odd and seemed like sketchy business practice.
