We highly recommend this tree service. We had multiple trees - oaks, firs, pine, shad, magnolia - that needed extensive work. They promptly returned our phone call, came out quickly to assess the work needed to be done, gave us a written estimate and returned to do all the work. There wasn't a stray branch left in the yard, they cleaned everything up so well. Some trees were near outbuildings or near power lines and they handled everything like the professionals they are. We had Maple come and clean up our pine trees along our driveway, the large bushes in front of our house and then our brush on one of the sides of our house-I can’t praise them enough-they were in and out so quickly, blew away our leaves when they cleaned up, and did such an amazing job! Reasonable (best estimate); skilled, professional and well-coordinated work crew! MTS has their own gigantic crane which gives them a price advantage over companies that have to rent one. Project was removal of ten trees along a ridge line overlooking the city of Worcester, including one dead 100+ year old monster maple that turned out to be rotten to the core, plus trim of another. The tree we wanted removed was so large that our regular tree company wouldn't handle it, and recommended we call Maple Tree Services. They made the right recommendation, and did we ever make the right decision. Every aspect of their service was excellent, from the first phone call to come out and give us a quote, to cleaning up afterward. For example, the owner came out and gave us a quote the same day we made the initial inquiry call. They were here promptly the morning of. It was "big" tree - well over 200 years old and 16' in diameter - and they handled every single aspect of the job perfectly. The tree was at the back of the property, along the property line, and the only access End of the day, they replanted and fertilized the small bushes. The next morning, arrived a landscaper they work who repaired, added loam and spread seed where there was any compacting or disruption to the soil or grass. The stump grinder Maple hires came and spent as much time as necessary, even helping to spread out the mulch where we and our neighbors wanted it. (Our neighbors, in contract, had once hired a popular local/national company for tree removal that didn't lay down plywood, that promised to return and repair the lawn, and never did.) Highly recommend! They run a great professional operational. The owner/operator called me back and couldn’t have been nicer and knowledgeable. He gave me an extremely competitive quote and was there when he said he was going to do it. The crew was extremely careful in removing a few trees that needed to come down. They were safe and did every thing in a well thought out manner. They lined the yard with plywood and did their best to not disturb my landscaping. In one spot where a larger piece of the tree “dented” the grass, they meticulously repaired the sod and you can’t tell they were even there. We hired Maple Tree to cut down 3 very large trees and prune a few others at one of our apartment buildings in Downtown Worcester. Price was definitely reasonable (I rec'd 4 bids - Maple Tree was equal to one other lower bid - and the other two were $1,000 - $2,000 more) - Their lead time was the best (he was able to fit me in within a week of contacting them) and finished the work within a day. Maple Tree is fully insured (The only reason I bring this up is that I didn't see that on their page and it is extremely important to me). Best of all was their customer service - not just to me, my staff and tenants, yet, also to our neighbors (cutting trees downtown in the tight space we had to work with must've been extremely difficult). They spent at least an hour cleaning up after themselves (property looked better afterwards than before they started the job!). I've hired tree services throughout New England roughly 8 - 9 times in the past and these guys were by far the best! Less
