I contacted Rancho Bernardo Endodontics through my dentist, who was highly recommended. They were able to get me in the next day, did a thorough exam and we all decided the best thing to do was to go forward that same evening in performing the root canal. It turned out my tooth /gum was infected and was told it was good I came in. They worked until 6 pm that evening to get me fixed before I was scheduled to go on a long trip. I am sure they slipped me in at the end of the day due to my situation. No one complained, and all were extremely caring and professional. They went out of their way, and from the initial introduction to the goodbyes! I had no pain and was given the utmost in care. I have also had no pain since. I would highly recommend this team, who went up and beyond the call of duty to take care of me, even when I had a short travel fuse. I knew I was in good hands, and they were awesome! All three times I was treated respectively and kindly with great emphasis on making sure I was comfortable and feeling no pain throughout the procedure. And there were several years between each procedure, the same endodontists and most of the same staff. I love consistency. Aftercare was explained each time and written instructions were given. I was given pain medication before I left the office and had no problems afterward; in fact, the first time I was able to eat harder foods, I almost cried because there was no pain for the first time in a couple years. I’m still high on the relief the doctor gave me. I can recommend this place HIGHLY, endos and their staff. I can also recommend that when you need to go to an endodontist, YOU, the patient have to be flexible, because it might not get done in one visit, and that goes for all endodontist offices. My appointment turned into two because my tooth nerve was so inflamed, it would not take the anesthetic and Dr Poelman would not continue because she didn’t want me to suffer. They didn’t charge me extra, either. To finish up (I ramble), this women owned and operated office is a really good one. Excellent, really. I trust them and they do their best to help their patients. At the end of the appointment she stated that she couldn't treat him because his medicines would interfere with the sedative she uses (even though she already knew what medicines he is on). So for $545 we got X-rays and humiliation. Maybe she is good at her dentistry job, but I wouldn't recommend her to treat a special person. Less

My husband was referred here at the end of December. I can't tell you the anxiety I have when I'm on the phone making an appointment, and tell them of his mobility difficulty, and wait for them to say something like "Oh, we can't fit a power chair through our door" or "There's two steps up into the building, is that okay?" But RB Endodontics were amazing! They even tried to do the root canal in his power chair, and even though we ultimately had to transfer him into the chair, the fact that they tried was so nice. My husband told me that the root canal was very comfortable and even less painful/more comfortable than his crown placement a couple weeks later. While at his crown placement appointment those two weeks later, I was also looked at since my tooth started to really hurt. The dentist referred me to RB Endodontics after doing a couple of tests. RB Endodontics got me in that afternoon, 3 hours after I called them to schedule. They were so nice and did some tests, confirmed I, too, needed a root canal, and they did it right then and there. I can't believe how easy it was and how quickly I was out of pain. It was my first root canal and after hearing from people how terrible it is (literally whenever anyone says they need a root canal, people always say "Oh no!" right?), I was nervous. But there was literally no pain at all. They numb you up really good, give you some pain medication before you leave, and ask you to continue that pain medication (advil/tylenol combo) for a set number of days depending on how your procedure went. It is 4 days after the procedure, and I'm still in zero pain. They are so nice, so professional and good endodontists. Really pleased with them. Less
