JUST DO IT. Seriously. For the longest time, I sat on the sidelines watching other people dance salsa and have the time of their lives. I admired them, but I never imagined myself being out there with them. Eventually, I took the leap and came to the Open House—and I was beyond nervous.I was immediately surprised by how warm and welcoming everyone was. Seeing so many other beginners there helped me feel right at home, and the instructors did an amazing job creating an environment that was comfortable, encouraging, and genuinely fun. I also really appreciate the way the classes are structured. You can progress at your own pace and stay at a level where you feel comfortable while building your confidence. One of my favorite things has been meeting longtime students. Hearing them talk about how nervous they were when they first started—and then seeing how confidently they dance now—is incredibly encouraging. It reminds you that everyone starts somewhere. If you’ve been thinking about learning salsa but are nervous, take this as your sign. Come to the Open House. Take the leap. You won’t regret it.
