As a big believer in the importance of first impressions, Mitchell and the team knocked it out of the park! As I entered each of the six homes, I was immediately greeted by the staff and had the chance to meet a few of their wonderful residents. Their attention to detail, chef curated meals, and amazing caregivers make Sage Oak of Denton truly a special community. I will recommend them highly to anyone looking for assisted living or memory care for their loved one.

My mother moved to Sage Oak about three years ago after a bad experience with another assisted living. Over the years, the staff has been very helpful and kind.I live over 4.5 hours away and have struggled with moving my mother closer to me; however, I know that my mother will not receive the care that she receives at Sage Oak if I move her to a facility closer to me.Recently, my mother was in the hospital for 3 days and Mitchell Rodriguez, one of the directors, visited my mom on several occasions and brought personal items to make her more comfortable. This meant a lot to me because I could not get there.When she was released, Mitchell and his team worked very diligently to make sure my mother’s new bed was setup and ready for my mom; making her transition easy for her.It is never easy placing your loved ones in a facility, but Sage Oaks Boutique helps me to feel better about my decision.

We are incredibly thankful for Sage Oak of Denton. From day one, the caregivers have treated my dad like family, showing genuine kindness, patience, and compassion, and extending that same care to our family as well. The caretakers and staff are attentive to individual needs, intentional with personal care, and very responsive. Every visit, we are greeted with warm smiles, and the residents are happy, engaged, and clearly well cared for.A special thank you to Dee, who has been such a blessing. She took the time to truly get to know my dad, and the way she connects with him has made a noticeable difference in how he responds and engages. We are also grateful for the Director of Nursing, Kristina, who is proactive, responsive, and consistently goes above and beyond by answering questions, sending updates, and supporting my dad’s well being.The community truly feels like home. The house is clean, warm, and thoughtfully designed to foster connection among residents. Rooms are always well kept, the chef-prepared meals are excellent, and the daily activities are purposeful and engaging. The heart, teamwork, and dedication at Sage Oak of Denton have brought our family great peace of mind. Thank you!!

Sage Oaks of Denton is a GodsendSage Oaks has truly been a Godsend for our family. After a traumatic experience at Truewood in Keller—where we were told my father required skilled nursing rather than memory care—the transition to Sage Oaks has proven that the right environment makes all the difference. In just one week, it is clear that their success stems from kindness, compassion, specialized dementia training, and genuine accountability.My dad has frontal lobe dementia, which makes communication a significant challenge. While any move has a learning curve, the staff has come alongside us every step of the way. My dad is smiling, happy, and honestly seems more content here than he was at home.Communication is phenomenal. We receive regular updates, and the care is incredibly personalized. A perfect example: my brother visited unannounced and found staff sitting with my dad helping him do 'work.' When he needed to use the restroom, the staff immediately jumped in to assist so my brother could focus on just being a son. This allows us to enjoy our visits rather than acting as caregivers.Contrast this with our previous facility, where my dad had two ER visits for falls within his first week and called the police on him for aggression almost three weeks in. We moved after three weeks. At Sage Oaks, he has had zero falls and zero aggressive episodes that couldn't be redirected by their skilled team. When he had a 'bad' day, they didn't call us to come 'fix it'; they called to ask questions about him as a person so they could tailor their approach.We were worried about the distance from our home to Sage Oaks and with the care he is receiving the distance has been no problem. The price is slightly higher, but everything is truly included (snacks for room, toilet paper, shampoo etc.) and there are no increases if the level of care changes. Honestly, the price difference is nothing considering what is included and there is no need or expectation to pay a sitter. If looking for a place for a loved one stop by and check out this facility! You and your loved ones will not be disappointed!

We placed my mom here for memory care. We visited two other facilities similar to Sage Oak, but there was no comparison. Sage Oak has been a blessing…from day one! Christina, Loe and Felicia were extremely helpful in answering questions about ALF, memory care in general as well as questions about Sage Oak. We are always greeted with a smile and a “how are you” when we visit my mom. We are kept up to date with photos and texts or calls. The staff even knows when my mom seems different or out of her normal mood and they notify and adjust accordingly! They keep my mom engaged and social instead of being isolated and lonely. I love how JJ (the activity director) knows my mom and what she likes to do! JJ even makes sure to ask if I have any questions or concerns! Lastly, the chefs and meals are amazing! My mom was barely eating prior to coming to Sage Oak. Now she eats her meals and looks forward to the mealtime. She has even gained weight (which both of her specialty doctors were very excited with). Caring for a loved one is stressful. Sage Oak has certainly relieved a lot of our anxiety!

Sage Oak is fantastic! Everyone on the staff is so kind, caring and compassionate with my grandpa. The food they serve is 5 star. JJ does a great job with the events.
