Best service, quality and follow-up! My remodel job consisted of drywall and soffit removal, redoing doorways, a number of spot drywall patches, replacing drywall, some trim work, texturing and painting of 2 rooms - ceilings, walls, doors and trim.They were on-time, courteous, professional, high quality and exceeded expectations. A couple of things were “above and beyond”. We had some residue on our Saltillo tiles even though they were well covered and protected. Bill sent someone out to hand clean the entire room and did an excellent job. We also had original 16 year old baseboard that was going to be a challenge and near impossible to make it right. First pass was ok and Bill was not satisfied. He sent a specialist out who took it to an A+. Never thought that would happen.Overall one of the best contractors I have used over the years. Very Professional Company. We first called them for an estimate and they showed up the next day early/on time and went over all the details for our repaint. We received a detailed bid and were scheduled to paint the following week. After the beautiful paint job, they did a final walk through and I then recommended them to friends and co-workers in which they have done 3 repaints as well. I knew I wanted lime wash but struggled to find someone who could do it. Edit: Jose came back and fixed the patched areas on the wall. Original: If I could rate our project manager Jose, I would give him 5 stars for communication, attentiveness and helpfulness. But overall I have to give our experience 3 stars. As part of our quote, the work on our backyard brick fence was quoted to include patch/repair of the areas that had deteriorated from being hit by sprinklers. These areas were patched for the most part but were not filled in all the way so the holes were not made flush with the rest of the wall. Also, Jose had to ask the painters to re-do areas of our wood porch that were not sanded and painted correctly on the first try. Finally, we asked for our backyard brick fence to match the color of the white brick we already had in the front of our house. They purchased a custom color match for the white paint color and used two layers, but the final color came out grey/blue and not white. We explained we weren’t happy with the outcome and we were told that due to the original blue color of the fence and the pores in the brick, the white color would not look the same as the front, so we would need a different/brighter white. I have no idea why they wouldn’t they inform us of this before the job began, if they knew we wanted it to march the front yard. We would have chosen a different white to begin with… We ended up choosing to add a brighter white on top to make the whites match better, and for this they charged us an extra 500$ for labor and paint. The final result was better but still didn’t match our front yard. In my opinion, the wall barely looks different from before any paint was added (see pic below for before/after comparison..top photo is AFTER). We did get a large discount for paying cash, so I guess we got what we paid for. However, Jose was very professional and communicated with us all the way through, and the concrete epoxy job under our patio was wonderful and we had no issues with that part! Less

Decent job overall but sloppy on the details, and VERY rude after service. Agreed to go with the company for a paint job and get some wood trim pieces added to the house for 8k (2133 sqft house). They were speedy and finished the job in 2 days. During our walk through I pointed out a few details like cracked wood on one of the trim piece where the nails are (visible through a coat of fresh paint), cracked window seals, and uneven trim piece edge (which they told me they can put some putty and even it out). Just some touch ups. The crew was there till 6pm on day two but you can tell they started rushing things around 4pm. Talked to the wife and she said they will come back to fix it on Monday, nothing. Then said Tuesday, still nothing. Finally they showed up on Friday (so now we are 1 week out from the initial walk through). They fixed everything except for the uneven wood trim piece in the front of the house. Called the wife and at this point she’s annoyed stating they need to close my account (aka get paid the rest). Later the husband (Tim) called and indicates the uneven wood is normal and if I want even wood I would have to pay at least 10x for better quality wood and that he can put putty on it (which is what the wife said they were going to do the first time but didn’t). Tim then tried to arrange a final walk through the next day on a saturday or Sunday, which we already have planned activities for (we have two toddlers and between birthdays and Halloween activities we are booked). I explained my schedule to him and proposed to have the final walk through the following Wednesday when I’m home during the day. He then got mad stating the account needs to be closed and it needs to be Monday and insist on getting paid that day as soon as they put wood putty on the trim. He then indicates how I’m a very difficult customer, I’m very shocked by their extremely rude after service. Less

While several factors go into a final rating for any vendor or retailer we provide a review for, more important than the actual product or experience is the professionalism of the staff. And that is why we are giving five stars to That 1 Painter.We hired them to paint an accent wall in our TV room. While the job was completed to our satisfaction, there was an unfortunate issue with several very small, but still noticeable and permanent drops of paint finding their way to our brand new sofa, which had just been delivered the previous day.Obviously, we were very frustrated and called Collin, the sales rep with whom we booked the job. Collin immediately calmed any concerns we had by offering to pay for any necessary cleaning or even replacement of the sofa.What could have been a very frustrating and poor experience was resolved to our satisfaction, thanks primarily to the professionalism and character of the entire team at That 1 Painter. We appreciated how they handled our situation so much, we are hiring them for another paint job we have in our home.I highly recommend That 1 Painter for any of your residential painting needs. Less
