My wife and I had our new house built in 2022 by Brunaugh Consteuction. Overall Brunaugh met or exceeded our expectations, and the process went pretty smooth even considering some building plan layout issues with the stairs that came up during the build that were not their responsibility. They were also flexible in helping us to cut some costs as building material prices sky rocketed during the start of our build. If I had one area they could improve, it would be their up front presentation experience. We were supposed to get a 3D representation of our home before signing the contract, but they ended up having some software personel issues thatprecluded this ability. I also felt that their Purchaser cpuld use a bit of training as I emded up finding building materials that we were told were not available by going to the store or stores website. These were minor incoveniences in the grand scheme of things though. Overall, I would definitely recommend this company for a new home build. Less

The job entailed gutting three bathrooms with major plumbing concerns as well as associated water damage. We were able to continue residency all the while. There was no mess at the end of each workday. Our expectations with the completed remodel were met. We highly recommend Brunaugh Construction.

Leaks at roof-to-wall joint on a portion of our house required re-build of the southwest corner of the house. The Brunaugh team was professional, did what they said they were going to do, handled the expanding scope of work exceptionally well as removal of siding revealed more and more damage to be repaired. I'm just now deciding to write this review since we're having some quality issues after being back home for only 4 months. I have a laundry list things from the experience as a whole, but we are ultimately disappointed in the lack of communication, workmanship, and lack of importance in how our job was handled. First we were given Covid as the reason for delays because nobody wanted to work. Even when we were finally able to move in workers still had to fix issues that were overseen for another two weeks. This included things like painting, cleaning, installing handles and trim on cabinetry, cutting bolts on the toilet, replacing the HVAC system, and a dryer vent that I had to convince them was actually there before they demolished everything. What wasn't being replaced or re-installed was supposed have been "heavily" cleaned. I'm pretty sure nothing was touched. The water heater was still was covered with soot and dust, lights and fans were hung back up with dirt and even paint among other things that had to be cleaned when we moved back in. Painting was extremely inconsistent. We were told to pick a color from a specific paint brand that wasn't used. When questioned why that brand wasn't used I was told the workers could pick what they prefer. Then when asked about the inconsistency I was told that people can nitpick and that maybe whatever was on the walls before was causing an issue with coverage. The brick walls in the basement supposedly were done 3 times and still looked untouched. I literally could see lines from a metal conduit being moved. After we moved back in they painted it for the 4th time and it finally covered. The issue with that is the carpet had then been installed and I can see where fresh paint stops and the old starts. Paint was speckled on windows, window sills, vent covers, and base boards. Some things we were asked for input and decisions, however, others were done without our knowledge. Some things we were under the impression were being done, but didn't happen. Workers never cleaned up after themselves. Unfortunately being 30 minutes away we weren't able to watch over every detail, and honestly I don't think anyone should have to do that. When I questioned workmanship or how something was constructed I was basically told they were only able to do so much and it was the best they could do. I'm well aware there is a process and I tried to let them do their job, but when your neighbors tell you they see the workers outside smoking more than working I'm sure that is why we got what we got. Since moving back in there are some things/issues that we're pretty sure weren't there before construction. Unfortunately we can't prove it. I feel like our house was literally thrown together in a matter of 3 weeks even though the project took almost 7 months from start to finish. It's very disappointing because I've heard great reviews on the company from friends and family that have had work done. To be honest I kind of took it personally and feel a certain kind of way about it. I felt as if we weren't given the same priority as any other customer would've been. Less
