My experience with this contractor was DEEPLY DISAPPOINTING, AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND their services to anyone seeking quality workmanship or professional communication. Communication was a major issue from the start. The owner repeatedly stated he does not read messages “because they are long,” which resulted in important details being ignored. I clearly requested a fence that matched my neighbor’s 8‑foot height. Despite multiple attempts to communicate this—both by text and phone—the fence was built at the wrong height. The gate also has a wide gap and does not line up properly. The deck construction was equally problematic. • The ceiling is uncomfortably low, creating a boxed‑in feeling. • I asked for the framing to be raised by the two inches he said was possible without undoing prior work. This was never done. • I specifically stated I did not want the cross‑support bar to be visible. He assured me it would not be visible once completed, asked “So, we’re good?” and proceeded. The bar is still visible. The bottom of the deck sits high above the ground, creating an ideal space for rodents and other critters — something no homeowner wants. Material quality was another disappointment. Aside from the flooring and ceiling materials, the wood used for the fence and deck was low‑grade. I was never given options to choose better materials, which I absolutely would have selected. Overall, one goes in full excitement of looking forward to having a deck to spend many hours enjoying it, only to end up in utter disappointment and the mood to spit in the face of one’s deceivers. Hiring this contractor was not a good choice. I expected professionalism, attention to detail, and respect for client instructions — none of which were delivered.
