The establishment’s location is commendable. However, upon entering, we were not greeted, leaving us uncertain whether to wait for a host or proceed to our seats. We were eventually seated, informed that our hostess was en route. Despite this, it took approximately ten minutes for a server to arrive and take our drink order. Unfortunately, the server was underage and unable to serve us. Subsequently, it took another fifteen minutes for our server to finally attend to our table, where she instructed us to wait. She returned after a while, but her demeanor was unfriendly, and she provided inadequate assistance with our order. We ordered a combination of waffle-fried chicken, catfish, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, and bottomless mimosas, totaling $35. While we anticipated more than a few mimosas due to the boneless nature of the dishes, the price seemed excessive. The server’s infrequent check-ins were particularly concerning, especially considering that we placed our order at 2 PM and the establishment closes at 3 PM. Additionally, we were required to pay for parking. The food lacked sufficient seasoning. While the macaroni and cheese and waffle were enjoyable, the catfish was undercooked and lacked seasoning. The collard greens were also underseasoned, but the shrimp and grits were satisfactory.
