Due to an unpleasant experience on my last visit, I elected to call in and verbally confirm my reservation for today 8/2/26. I spoke with Tyler the head chef and let's just say I loved the accountability and the fact that he graciously answered all of my questions, he even came out and checked with us to make sure everything was to our liking. The food was and is always delicious and fresh. Shout out to our server Jasmine who was wonderful! This is my favorite breakfast spot I guarantee if you eat here it may become yours as well. Sometimes there is a wait but definitely worth it. Journey please keep doing what you are doing. I see you.

First time for my family and myself. Arrived just after it opened, so there was a little bit of wait but negligible. Unknown to us at the time, the owner explained all the dishes we had questioned. She recommended that we try the “Collard Greens Dip”. I seriously can’t articulate how good this dip tasted. She gave us samples of the sweet grits and the cheesy grits. My wife and daughter devoured both, but ultimately ordered the plain grits and added their own butter & salt only to wish they had ordered more of the sweet grits. I ordered the Wingz & Mixed berry Wafflez with the Mama Zula’s butter. I had to take my time with this because it wasn’t like anything I’ve ever tried on a waffle but I was transported to a place of happiness. This will surely be on our places to return to the next time we visit LA.

If you’re looking for southern-style comfort food elevated, look no further. This was our first time since they moved locations into Ktown. Amazing, indulgent food and great, quality service. Our group ordered the Celestial Eggs as an app and Da Baddest Chick Sandwich, Cinnatoast Plate, Catfish N’ Wafflez, and Tender Plate with Smackin’ Mac & Who Made The Potato Salad as our mains. The food was heavy but hella good. Had to take a nap when we got home. Definitely worth the food coma afterwards. We went on a Sunday AM right at open and there was plenty of seating. However, the place can get boppin’ so I would suggest putting in a resy if you don’t want to have to wait. We will be back.

Went for breakfast was quoted a 45 minute wait. Waited then was quoted another 45 minutes. Not sure if was done on purpose or just don’t care about customers but it was unacceptable and a waste of time.

I drove 25 miles to check this place out. IT WAS WORTH IT!!!Got the vanilla bean waffle and plain grilts. My boyfriend got the sweet grits with sauteed shrimp. Everything cooked and seasoned to perfection!My rating is 10 stars!I will be back.Oh and the servers are super attentive and we had our Food so fast!
