On Friday, we got snow in Atlanta. After watching the tree in shock and with baited breath as it got worse with every single small gust, we jumped into action and moved the pets to the basement and started calling around. We met a huge issue - very few places were operating because of the dangerous conditions. But Don’s was, and honestly we probably owe our lives to them.Within 20 minutes of the call, they had someone in the yard, inspecting the tree and confirming our fears - the tree had to go, and it had to go NOW. Less than an hour later, our yard was filled with their crew (probably like 15 people), a crane was in our driveway, and they were prepping the area. An hour after that, they started to safely take the limbs down. I’m detailing the timing here because the orchestration of all of this would’ve been impressive on a normal day, nevertheless a snow day. If you’re at all familiar with GA, everything shuts down when it snows. So the speed at which they were able to pull all of this together was particularly astounding.About 5 hours after the first phone call was made, the tree was fully down, and we could finally breathe. Two days later, they brought all of the debris to the front yard (didn’t do it day of because they didn’t want to destroy our yard - very thoughtful). And the next day (today, right as I type this, actually), they removed all of the debris from our front yard.While, yes, all of that was impressive, I think the best part about this experience was the level of safety we witnessed from everyone involved. Of course they were attentive to the safety of our house, but, more importantly (to me, perhaps), Don so obviously cares so much about his employees and their safety. I have a lot of respect for the level of concern he showed consistently while they were here.I wish I could give Don’s 10 stars, and I hope that we meet them under less stressful circumstances in the future. Absolutely fantastic company, went above and beyond when a tree unexpectedly fell on my neighbor's fence. I had already planned to have them grind some stumps for me, but when I called about the downed tree Doni immediately came out THAT Saturday and reassured me, quoted me on removing the downed tree and another one that was precariously close to falling on my house, and handled everything. By Monday they had both trees safely down! The crews are professional and courteous and so efficient. The 2nd tree was enormous and they took care of it like it was nothing. When I was checking to make sure their bobcat hadn't damaged my drains for my sump (my error forgetting the pipe was in an area they had to drive through), they immediately helped me dig the pipe in the mud and check it (it was fine). The office staff even worked around scheduling the grinding so it wouldn't wake my roommate (who works night shifts). Doni and her team were great! They made it out quickly for a quote and fit us in the schedule shortly after that to have a couple of trees removed. The team that performed the tree removal did a good job and cleaned up the debris afterwards. Great communication throughout the process as well. Professional - Every single employee that came for the job did it with such professionalism; it felt like they had planned out every step of the process before they even arrived on the job. Safe - the team cut down 2 massive water oaks that were dying within a couple of feet of our home and did not impact a single shingle or brick on our home, which was unbelievable! Customer Service - We engaged with Doni on several occasions throughout the weeklong process and boy is Doni an incredible business owner. Kind, thoughtful, attentive and an all around incredible human being. I got a call every single morning and afternoon from Doni's team to ensure we were satisfied with the job.
