No person gets married with the intention of getting divorced years later, but it happens. Splitting of assets is one of many steps in the transition. For me, it was refinancing my house to remove my husband from the mortgage. Throughout our 25+ years of marriage my husband handled our money affairs because he had a degree in economics, and it was easy for him. So, when I got divorced, I had to transition to a new lifestyle, reintroduce myself to paying bills and managing money. It was overwhelming! Ultimately, I surrounded myself with a wonderful team of professionals who helped me pick up the pieces and get my life on track as a single person. Kevin Turner was a huge part of this new phase helping me refinance my house. It’s embarrassing and daunting to take on a task with little recent experience. Kevin and his team were encouraging, willing to answer the silliest questions, patient when I kept postponing the process, and understanding when I didn’t “get it” right away. Divorce is hard. Make an unpleasant situation better with good people like Kevin Turner. He’s knowledgeable, experienced, and a great communicator. He will be your best advocate.
