My experience with Dr Ali and the I.MOVE. team have been incredible in helping me to not only clear up some pain in a few areas, but build a strong brain body connection during my exercise and lifting to make future efforts more sustainable.I did a free body diagnosis with the team to address recurring hip/low back pain as well as shoulder pain and I figured it would just be another PT session like I had had previously, likely involving recommendations on scaling or eliminating movements due to the pain. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this is NOT the philosophy of the team at I.MOVE. and they were dedicated to creating plans that allowed people to get back to what they love doing and help achieve long term results.Dr Ali did an amazing job of identifying my goals, building a safe space to talk about what was important to me, and structuring a plan that I could begin chipping away at the root of the issue. Over time I really loved our sessions and they became a favorite part of my week to be able to test out how progress was going and address any new tweaks or developments that needed our attention.Overall, highly recommend visiting the team at I.MOVE. if you are looking for help with a long lasting pain issue related to sport, especially if you have been told "well you just shouldn't do that anymore". This team is focused finding and creating long term solutions for their clients and they have helped me immensely in being able to mitigate and eliminate pain points, identify areas of correction needed during lifts, and how to better listen to my body. I went to I Move to get a second opinion on a hand injury, what I got was a more in depth explanation of how the injury happened, how to prevent future injuries and how to heal the sustained injury. After sessions with Dr Ali, we managed to get my hand to recover, find and treat the source and create a easy to follow exercise routine to prevent to target the source of the injury and prevent any further.Not only that, but also learned a lot of small bad habits that have affected my efficiency at the gym, we fixed them and since then, ice accomplished heavier lifts, better cardio sessions and overall, no injuries!As for my hand injury, the doctors at **** said I needed surgery but that my hand will never fully recover mobility, a year later, mobility in my hand has recovered without the surgery with the exercises instructed by I Move.Staff here is overall amazing, helpful and understanding of your needs. Highly recommend them.

I highly recommend I.Move and Dr. Ali. After experiencing severe sciatica, there was a period when even sitting or lying down was extremely painful. When I reached the point where I was ready to begin active rehabilitation, I started working with I.Move, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I made.Dr. Ali took me through the fundamentals, starting with bracing and nerve flossing to help restore mobility, and gradually progressing to running and, more recently, strength training. What I appreciated most was the gradual, thoughtful approach—building a strong foundation before moving on to more demanding activities.Dr. Ali has also completely changed the way I approach movement in my everyday life. From working out to simply sitting at my desk, I now pay much more attention to core stability and how I use my body to support daily activities.I feel stronger, more mobile, and much more confident in my ability to move. The I.Move. Health and Performance team has been wonderful to work with. I came in with some recurring lower back pain to see if it was something they could help me manage, and they have exceeded all expectations I had. I’ve been working with Dr. David, and from the first assessment meeting I could tell that he is passionate about the work he does and really wants to help his clients. The I.Move. health team focuses on not only identifying the problem, but more so the root causes of the problem, so they can in turn develop a comprehensive program to fully address the issues(s). I really enjoy that they take the time to go in depth with their clients, and not just prescribe generic treatment. As a client, I feel that they are giving me / my body the attention it needs and the therapy that will address my specific needs. Their team is very good about communicating the plans they come up with and ensuring I am on board or have any of my questions answered immediately. I also enjoy the fact that they not only want to help fix my back pain, but they want to enable me to make sure it does not come back in the future. I cannot recommend them enough!!

I was having neck and shoulder pain consistently which was preventing me from doing things I like to do, like lift weights. I used normal methods to relieve pain but it wasn’t until I went to IMove that we finally found one of the root causes thanks to Dr Ali. After 25 sessions I was feeling so much better and was able to apply proper mechanics in my lifts to ensure I wasn’t doing further damage. My pain has decreased significantly and I can get back to doing what I love. I am so grateful I found IMove and stopped putting off my health and well being. The investment was definitely worth it for me.

When I reached out to I.move, I had been going to chiropractic once every 1-2 months, but was just getting tired of repeating the same patterns of getting injured and needing help. Since then, we are working on treating the root cause of my pain by addressing muscle imbalances from years of desk jobbing and posture issues. It happens! I'm glad to have one-on-one help with exercise to help build particular movements that I need help retraining and several work outs to do at the gym outside of our sessions.

Dr. Dave helped pinpoint the places I was weak and in need of the most work and not only showed me what needed Attention but worked with me to show me the correct technique and gave the skills needed to keep proceeding so that I could have success, long lasting and not just while I was there under his guidance. I came to Dr. Dan after years of trying to find answers through other chiropractors, acupuncturists, massage therapists, physical therapists, and doctors. After enduring a back injury that continued to affect my everyday life, I honestly felt like this was something I would just have to live with for the rest of my life.I was limited in what I could do at the gym. I couldn’t pick up a laundry basket without pain, sneeze without bracing myself, or even get out of bed like a normal person. Most discouraging of all, I never thought I would be able to do the CrossFit style workouts I loved so much again.Dr. Dan’s approach was completely different. He was determined to get to the root cause rather than simply treat the symptoms. He asked the right questions, took the time to understand what was actually going on, and created a plan and executed it.I’m now back in the gym 4 days a week, doing almost all of my CrossFit workouts as prescribed without modifications and with minimal to no pain. I highly recommend I.MOVE! I came to IMove with issues that were relatively small but that had been chronic and I had been struggling with over the last decade. I had separately seen acupuncturists, massage therapists, chiropractors and even physical therapists and always there was only marginal improvements that were short lived. So I came into the space feeling fairly skeptical.I didn't realize what a holistic and all encompassing approach I would be receiving and I am incredibly grateful. Not only have my symptoms been eradicated - but so importantly I was given knowledge. Knowledge about what was happening in my body and why. And the homework I was given was very thoroughly explained, giving me the power to not only continue to do my exercises on my own, but also to manage symptoms as they reemerge. My job is physically repetitive so its vital for me to continue to do exercises to maintain my wellness.I was also very impressed by the care I received between sessions. Check ins, adjustments to routines, and help with unexpected flare ups. I feel like in other spaces it's easy to feel like a number in a line up, at I.Move you always feel like the main focus and priority. I can't recommend this space enough! I broke my back in high school and have a six vertebrae fusion with Ti hardware that remains. As I have gotten older it has been harder and harder to stay limber and fit despite time at the gym and with various activities that are less frequent these days.I initially responded to a post that I.Move posted online about a free assessment at a spot not too far from me. I have always used chiropractic and massage as part of my PT from my injury and it seemed like a cool combo of things. This is where I met Dr. David.He and I went through my history and did some movement to check things like range of motion and flexibility as well as some light adjustments. It was very hands on and informative and approached treatment from a different angle than I expected but it was highly effective.It was like relearning the basics of how to move. One of the first things we covered was proper breathing and how to load my weight properly to provide relief to hip and lower back tension. Things that seemed obvious that I never realized and have become second nature since.I discovered that while flexibility is great, my body had been compensating for my injury by making some parts of my body hyper flexible which in turn was leading to imbalance and tension. So we worked on exercises to tighten certain parts of my body in order to get them back into a healthy range of motion.From there we put together various work out plans and covered the basics like squats, lunges, dumbbells etc. while focusing not just on good form but good form for me and my limitations and goals. As time went on I picked up bowling as a serious interest and we started tailoring more exercises and mobility training towards that end. It was an awesome help.Each session started with 20-30 minutes of a combo of light chiropractic and targeted muscle massage and release. From there we would go out to the gym area and work on stretches/breathing and movement with weights. I often left with shaky muscles and jello legs.When I was dealing with a bowling injury we would focus on more of the restorative part of the treatment and then move on to discuss ways to effectively stretch and rehab it out in the gym area. I have so many tools available to me now when I have pain or a flare up.My initial visit to I.Move and Dr. David was back when they were in a shared gym space and their growth has been awesome to see. The new facility is top shelf and a well earned and deserved upgrade. Jenny runs the office/facility wonderfully and every other doctor I met was so friendly and welcoming. I really came to count these people as friends and family.Dr. David himself is an attentive listener and a great communicator. Whether he is doing exercises side by side with you in the gym or asking about your weekend, you have his complete focus. You can really tell that helping people is his calling.As someone that has had their back go out at least 3-4 times per year for a decade with consistent pain and limitations, I am happy to report that I have had no flare ups or significant back pain. Even slight flare ups get put down quickly because I know how my body works and have the tools to maintain it.Our bodies don't come with easy instruction manuals that are easy to understand but I.Move and Dr. David can help you figure it out while keeping in mind what makes you special and unique. I came to I. Move after dealing with nerve-related pain in my glute and occasionally down my leg. I thought I would get some treatment and exercises to help with the pain, but the experience was so much better than I expected.After my initial evaluation, Dr. Ali developed a very thoughtful and comprehensive treatment plan. Every visit had a clear purpose, but she always took the time to ask how I was feeling, what had happened during the week, and what I was experiencing at the gym—and then incorporated those things into the treatment. I especially loved that she included so much hands-on treatment, which always felt amazing.The exercises were challenging, but they made sense and truly addressed the underlying problems. Dr. Ali is exceptionally good at explaining things—simple enough to understand, but always precise. She is knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely upbeat. I even told her she should be a professor someday because she has such a talent for teaching!After 18 sessions, I have made a huge improvement in my pain, including with sleeping and standing, and I’m able to continue my strength training at the gym with much more confidence. More importantly, I’ve learned how to move better, strengthen the right areas, and exercise safely despite my spine condition.I’m genuinely so happy with my experience at I. After about 15 years of lower back pain, trying out different specialists every couple of years, Dr. Dan is the only person that has been able to make a difference. I do CrossFit and am generally active but the pain was the everyday price of my exercise. Dr. Dan had a deep understanding of what I’m trying to do and through therapy and education has gotten me to a place where I can finally live without the pain. He has gotten me through some other, smaller injuries over the last year and a half, and now at 55 years old I’m feeling fitter and more durable than any time in the last 20 years. For active people who need other active people that understand their goals and how to get there, this is the place to go.

I love sports and do a lot of activities, but I keep hurting myself every time. Doctor Ali was very thorough in helping me identify exactly why I don’t progress and end up with pain. I had fitness trainers before and I thought I knew how to lift and brace, and to a certain point it worked. But when Dr. Ali assessed me we quickly realized that I do not brace properly or fully to protect my back. She then helped me identify the movements where my brace breaks down and how to build up the strength to be able to move as I need to move. The journey has been a struggle, but I am very happy that with doing the right movements I was able to build strength back again, and lift more without having pain afterwards! The exercises are hard, but if you do them correctly and consistently the strength will come, because they target the weak spots. Everyone at IMOVE is also very nice and fun to work with. It is certainly worth it!

I have been a competitive runner most my life and was struggling with years of chronic achilles and heel pain. I was religiously doing PT and rehab without any break throughs. It got to a point where I was accepting I may have to give up my favorite activities of running in the mountains and fast on the track.After a few sessions at IMOVE I was able to run in the mountains in Switzerland, race up and down Dog Mountain as well as get back to competing on the track.I ultimately chose IMOVE because I knew the problem was more than just the tendon itself. Their approach is extremely thorough, and Dr. David was able to quickly identify the issues in my movement patterns creating this chronic pain. It's impressive to see the teams dedication to the patients they treat, which is impossible to find anywhere else.

I’ve had a chronic shoulder issue for over 15 years. Regular clinician physical therapy didn’t help nor did massage therapy. I had pretty much given up hope of it ever getting better. Then a neighbor friend had good results from iMove so I decided to give them a try. The results were not immediate but movement and range of motion got better and better as the therapy plan progressed. And the therapy plan was tailored to my specific condition. I believe it was money well spent. I highly recommend giving them a try.
