Josh is an amazing teacher. He keeps my daughter engaged with his fun approach to learning the piano. He is extremely patient, and kind. When my daughter is struggling to understand a new piece he uses methods to help her get there at her pace. My daughter also had the opportune to record her songs she had worked on at a recording studio through the school which was an amazing highlight. We love Josh and would highly recommend him.

Our children started playing piano with Anna from TMA, both at 3.5 yo. Our son also took on Violon once he turned 6 years old with Ms Bo who is excellent. Within a few months they made significant progress and sat through 30 minutes motivated and comfortable. We are very proud and mostly grateful to our outstanding teachers and their professional yet fun approach to music.

Our three-year-old son has been taking piano classes with Ms. Sienna and Ms. Lydia. At first, we thought he might be too young to start piano lessons, but it has truly been worth it. We are amazed at how thoughtfully and effectively the teachers tailor their instruction to a three-year-old’s level. When I was beginning my piano journey, I contacted numerous studios and tutors in New York City to see who I felt the most compatible with. By far, Lydia stood out like an anomaly because of her kindness, the enthusiasm of her outreach, her professionalism in nature, and the amount of detail she gave me when approaching my needs as a beginner pianist. There were no complicated contracts to sign-up, and it was an easy process to start my lessons. My tutor is Anna who makes attending lessons each week a true highlight and something I look forward to. Anna and I play anything from pop to classical songs, and I even share my own music that I write! Very happy to be a student here, and I wanted to take the time to write this review so every person thinking about lessons for themselves or their child in New York City really know the phenomenal hands they’re walking into.

Our 7 year old daughter studied piano with Anna for two years (we relocated so she couldn't continue lessons in New York).I cannot recommend Tribeca Music enough. Lydia and her staff run a professional school that makes music fun and approachable. Our daughter learned so much and made significant progress with her musical ability in general and the piano specifically. Everything from the weekly classes, to the recitals and the routine communication is done with care, professionalism and taste that is hard to match.

Lydia is the best - she has taken a woman, me, with a debilitating injury (brachial plexus injury) and helped me find peace and relaxation through thoughtful practice. She is positive, kind and optimistic about the way you play no matter you level. I needed this kind of encouragement to get over my self doubt. The more I play, the more my arm heals. The best present I gave myself. I played piano when I was 7 for 7 years, and haven’t played since. 20 years later, I found Lydia and took up some lessons. She was able to identify my level and also incorporate some basics to help me build back the fundamentals. I am now playing music that I wished I played when I took piano as a child. Such a good teacher. She’s a true professional. Cannot recommend it enough!

Lydia is an excellent piano teacher. Her approach is kind and encouraging and Charlotte’s ability and love for playing increases every year. My daughter and I love Tribeca Music Academy! We have been learning from Lydia for the last 4 years or so. My daughter has improved way beyond expectations and a lot of this is from the patient, kind, thoughtful and fun lessons Lydia brings. I highly recommend Lydia and Tribeca Music Academy for musical instrument lessons. Both of my children have been studying with her for almost 10 years now. It is a testament to her teaching that my children have happily stuck with their music lessons for so long! Lydia is a kind and patient teacher, while also pushing the children to work their hardest. My family has been incredibly pleased with her, and cannot imagine taking lessons with anyone else.
