They were recommended to me by a friend of mine who had bought several cuts from them already. I meant to by one three-piece, left with way more than I should have. Haha. I needed a sports jacket, a shirt, and pants for a speaking engagement. I had a two-week deadline. Amrapur Tailors delivered on time. The first set turned out so well that I ordered three more shirts and three more pairs of pants.I have known Dev for years from networking events in Bangkok. He is always the best dressed. His mother handled my fitting. She gave direct advice on materials and colors that worked for my event.Getting there (inside secure JUSMAGTHAI):Tip: The shop is inside a secure compound. Bring your passport or ID. The security process is fast.1) Press the buzzer at the front gate to enter the security room.2) Hand your ID to the guard for a temporary pass and enter the compound.3) Walk straight, then take a sharp left across the driveway to the left-side building.4) Go to the ground floor and curve around the corner. Amrapur Tailors is a top notch tailor here in Bangkok. The suit fits perfectly and the quality is going to be the best in Bangkok. The shop is in the American Army Base and they do all the suits for the military personnel there. It’s a bit daunting to find because you need to go into the base and hand in a piece of ID. Either a drivers license or a passport. But that’s half of the adventure and the military staff were helpful enough to show you were to go.You walk into the shop and it’s just filled with military memorabilia from all over the world. I’m Canadian and they had surprisingly a lot of Canadian stuff, so it was appreciated. Dev is the owner of the shop and he was the one that did all my measurements and made sure that the entire process was as seamless as possible and goes through the steps with you, one by one, until you design the perfect suit for yourself. From the fabric to the inside lining. There’s load of combinations for you to choose from. There was a bit of a mix up on my end for the shoes I wanted and he promptly changed the design and colour of the shoe and was very helpful that way which I really appreciated. He can ship the suit and shoes anywhere in the world, which I needed because I only brought a small carryon with me and couldn’t fit it in, so I had him ship the suit and shoes to the UK for a wedding that I will be attending.If you’re in Bangkok, this is definitely the place to do your custom tailored suit. I look forward to be coming back again to have another suit done with them when that time comes up again. Bit until then, this suit will do me well for a long time.
