This is a response to the owners reply to Linda Whittingtons Review.I am the other homeowner involved in this project. Since Google does not allow me to respond directly to the owner’s reply on Linda’s review, I am leaving my own review to correct several statements in his response that are simply not true.Most importantly, we never withheld final payment. In fact, we paid more than the originally agreed upon price. With all of the back and forth during this project, we voluntarily paid additional money without even being asked. The company should have payment records to verify this, so it is extremely disappointing to see the owner publicly claim that payment was withheld.We also did not refuse to pay for an extra box of flooring. Linda specifically asked Anthony what it would cost because we wanted to purchase an extra box. Anthony later told her he had spoken with Chris and that it was already paid for and would be left for us at no charge. She even questioned him to make sure because we were willing to pay for it.The toilet was also discussed before the project began. Anthony told Linda he had confirmed with Chris that they would handle it. Chris later personally brought a wax ring for the toilet to be reinstalled. If TJ was unaware of what his employees were telling customers, that points to a serious internal communication problem, not something that should be blamed on us afterward.I also want to clarify why Linda left her review. TJ called her after the project, apologized, asked her to send photos, text messages, and a detailed email explaining everything that happened, and said he wanted to make things right. She spent a significant amount of time putting everything together and sent exactly what he requested. He never responded. That is why she ultimately left the review.We never asked for free work or a donation. We hired a company, agreed to a price, and paid them more than that price. The additional work they reference was necessary because the first subfloor installation had to be removed and redone correctly.There were contractors who came in toward the end and did excellent work, and we appreciate them. But it is very disappointing to see a business owner publicly describe the situation in a way that does not match what actually happened.Mistakes and communication issues happen. What I cannot respect is claiming we withheld payment when we did not.

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with the Floor Fathers! Jamie came out and brought samples and he was spot-on with the colors he brought. I visited the beautiful store to see other samples but ended up picking one that he had brought out. The quality of the vinyl plank flooring was far superior to any I had looked at other places. They were able to get me on their schedule quickly, and we set aside three days for the carpet tear out and LVP installation.. The installers showed up on schedule and went right to work, and they were able to surprise me by finishing in one day. They moved all furniture and heavy items for me and were so pleasant and accommodating in all they did. I would highly recommend them for any flooring needs you have!

I chose The Floor Fathers because of their strong reviews, but unfortunately my experience was extremely frustrating.What should have been a small bathroom flooring project took five working days and involved five different contractors. The first subfloor replacement was pieced together with small sections of plywood, with visible gaps and areas that flexed when walked on. Since this was a second-floor bathroom, I would not allow the finished flooring to be installed over it. Thankfully, the final crew removed the patchwork and corrected the subfloor properly.There were also several communication issues. Anthony told me he had confirmed with Chris that the toilet would be removed and reinstalled. TJ later said reinstalling toilets was not something they did, even though Chris had dropped off a wax ring for the toilet. I also asked to purchase an extra box of flooring. Anthony later told me Chris had approved leaving it at no charge, and I specifically asked if he was sure because we were willing to pay. We were later told there would be an additional charge.TJ also told me the company had essentially completed the job as a “donation” to me. I never asked for a donation, free work, or special treatment. I asked for a bid, accepted the bid, and paid based on the price we were quoted. If the company underestimated the project, employees made promises they were not authorized to make, or work had to be redone because it was not completed correctly, that does not make the project a donation.TJ asked me to send a detailed explanation, photos, and text messages so the company could address the situation. I spent considerable time documenting everything and made it clear that I only wanted a fair resolution based on what had originally been agreed upon. I never received a reply.The final contractors did good work, but the poor communication, lack of project management, conflicting promises, and failure to respond after requesting my documentation are why I cannot recommend this company.

He sincerely apologized, took my concerns seriously, and explained that the issue was addressed immediately.While my original experience with the salesperson was disappointing, I believe a company’s character is best demonstrated by how it responds when something goes wrong. Flooring Fathers handled the situation professionally, accepted responsibility, and made a genuine effort to make things right.Because of the way ownership responded, I’m happy to update my review to five stars. I appreciate a company that values customer feedback and is willing to take action when improvements are needed.I wish the Flooring Fathers team continued success

A simple thank you is not enough. TJ, and Chris are the very best of the best. They go way above & beyond to make sure that the customer is truly satisfied. They replaced carpet, tile and linoleum with beautiful LVP. Their installers were excellent and when the whole job was done T.J. came out himself to double check that we were totally satisfied; bringing us a box of furniture pads to protect our new floors, and very nice bucket with their insignia, a bottle of floor cleaner with micro-fiber cloth, which we thought was very thoughtful. We can't say enough about how great they were. We highly recommend The Floor Fathers, TJ, Chris and the team for all your flooring needs! Thanks again guys!

Floor Fathers asked for pictures before the appointment so sample tiles and trim could be on hand during the initial appointment. The representative (TJ) was very professional during our initial discussion and provided several options available to us. The installed was on time and did a great job installing the tile and, just as important, he cleaned the job site very well. I highly recommend this company for your flooring needs and, as a matter of fact, I did!

I saw The Floor Fathers ad on Facebook and contacted them. Jamie came to my house, showed me different samples and took pictures that would show the flooring in my different rooms. Jamie gave me a reasonable quote and it included removing and disposing of old flooring, installation and moving furniture. Gabriel and two crew members were nice and very professional.
