I did a couple drop-in classes here and found the environment very welcoming. The structure of class was great and I enjoyed all of the situational sparing. It really helped me get a feel for core concepts and the instructors were very knowledgeable. Highly recommend dropping by.

My son has been training at Haven Grappling Academy for a year now, and it's been one of the best things we've done for him. He started at six with plenty of energy and not much confidence. Coach Troy has a real gift for working with kids that age — patient, encouraging, and serious about teaching real technique rather than just running them around. My son is noticeably stronger, carries himself differently, and genuinely looks forward to every class. Highly recommend Haven to any parent considering jiu jitsu for their kid.

I went in a for a few classes a couple weeks ago and I've been telling people about it ever since. I checked out pretty much every jiu jitsu gym in Vienna before I committed to one, and Haven was better than all of them by a wide margin.The people are the biggest reason. I walked in knowing absolutely nothing and had guys with years of experience taking time out of their own training to walk me through positions and answer my dumb beginner questions instead of just running through me because I was new. Everybody there wants everybody else to get better, and you pick up on that immediately.Troy is a phenomenal coach and he sets the tone for how the whole room operates. He breaks material down clearly enough that someone with zero background can follow it, without boring the guys who have been training for years. The community he's built is pretty incredible, and it's been amazing joining it.The gym is also immaculate. The mats are clean, there are clean bathrooms, all of it. Anyone who has trained at other places knows how rare that is and how much it matters when you're on the floor with other people for an hour.Can't recommend this place enough.
