We have been working with Gareth for several months and he has been providing training for us and our reactive dog. Gareth's approach is friendly and always positive and he has listened to our issues, experienced our challenges with us, and provided us with strategies and techniques to help with a range of different situations from resource guarding and barking at the doorbell to reactivity towards other dogs and cats. Through the one-to-one sessions with Gareth and employing the techniques he has given us, we now have a much calmer and happier dog - thanks Gareth.

Gareth did a great job teaching my large reactive foster dog (and mainly me!) ways to deal with her reactivity. She’s now been successfully rehomed. I’d recommend Gareth to anyone with a reactive dog.

SCENT TRAINING:We've just completed the bronze UK Sniffer Dogs course with Gareth and it was brilliant! It's really helped with our dog's focus and, as well as being highly stimulating for her, she is always really excited to do it - very useful if you have a high energy dog as it does tire them out!An activity that's great fun with high reward for both dog and owner.REVIEW 1-1 TRAININGI can thoroughly recommend Gareth.We've had a few sessions with him now and our very anxious dog is already less reactive. She was so scared of meeting other dogs in the park, she would turn and run at the slightest sniff of another dog in the area, whether she could see it or not! Gareth has worked with us in our home and at the local park and has taught us to recognise when the behaviour changes that causes the reactivity. He has taught us what we have to do to give her the confidence she needs to enjoy her walks. The changes won't happen overnight, it'll take time and consistency from us, but I'm now confident, with Gareth's expertise, we'll get there.

We signed up for the Calmer Canine 3 month one to one course with Gareth. To be honest I was in real need of help with my rescue Sprocker, who was manic and totally exhausting. Gareth was the connection I desperately needed. From day one he read the situation and gave me the confidence to keep going. His skills and knowledge are unbeatable and his calming presence made everything seem OK. I had huge support from him throughout and the process and now I understand my dog so much better and he's given me the skills and greater understanding to manage his behaviour. I would highly recommend Gareth. Thank you!

My cocker spaniel Jango was just six months old at the start of the course but nevertheless enjoyed the challenges of this course and performed well. Gareth always gave good guidance and praise when he did well. I would recommend the course for any dog who enjoys sniffing around (don't they all !) and being rewarded for finding things.

Karrot and I loved Gareth's scent work classes. They kept a very inquisitive Cypriot hound engaged and interested (which is no easy feat). The small group was lovely and meant every dog got attention as well as us humans having a laugh. Highly recommended.
