My daughter and I stayed here for a few days recently and we had an absolutely fabulous time staying at The Florentine waterfront hotel.The artist who did the painting in our room was featured, and her work was amazing and so detailed! I found myself noticing all these fine details as we stayed in our Room. The grounds are beautiful and we felt very much at home. Flora is great and we would definitely come again if given the opportunity!

Stunning location with easy access to Florence and the dunes recreation area. Very cute renovated rooms (we stayed in one of the Marina rooms with a kitchenette). Quiet area with little benches and places to sit and play games outside. It was a lovely stay!

If you want a little peace and quiet this is the place. It's far enough off the 101 that there is zero road noise. The lake views are nice and there's plenty of places to sit and just enjoy the scenery outside. Also close to the restaurants in Florence and plenty of dune buggy rental places. The room (we stayed in the hotel portion) is huge. Bed was comfortable and it was nice having the full kitchen to make breakfast. The owners have done a good job of taking a property from the 1940s and breathing new life into it. The property is big so its a huge project. Wishing them the best of luck with their endeavor. Keeping up those grounds (and the dock) is going to be a big job!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 days there in the record room. The birds, picking fresh blackberries from our deck, canoeing in the lake. Comfortable beds, fun decor, beautiful lake views, very helpful and friendly staff. It was all most excellent. Kristi McLean mid July visit.

We stayed at The Florentine for one night in the Sage Suite and it was absolutely spectacular. The room set-up was perfect for my husband, 5 year old and me. My husband and I slept in the main living area overlooking the lake and got to watch the sunrise from bed (there are curtains if this isn’t your thing), while my son slept in the cozy bedroom. The room is so thoughtfully decorated and the view is spectacular. Great for bird watching and stargazing. Did I mention we saw a bald eagle from the porch?! Wish we could have stayed longer! We will be back.

Kids LOVED staying here! The views were amazing and our room was clean and cozy! We stayed in Merlot Manor room that had our own private hot tub. The staff was organized and friendly. Highly recommend staying at the Florentine Waterfront Hotel!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. The rooms are themed and provide a unique experience which is a great change from the cookie cutter hotel chains. The owner is very kind and super responsive and cares about her guests, providing great recommendations. The room was clean and updated while keeping some of the historic charm of the resort without feeling dated. The bed was very comfortable with a view looking out over the lake and provided a restful and restorative stay. If you're looking for a peaceful and serene getaway this is an excellent place. We would happily come back and stay again!

It was SO CUTE!! About 12 minutes from downtown Florence!! Has heaters inside you can turn on if you get cold!Very responsive when texting! Service was awesome!! Highly recommend!!!

What a great little find this place was. The property is just gorgeous and well maintained. So many outdoor options on the property, from lawn games, kayaking, or just relaxing by the water. The owners are on site and available at all times. They even hosted a bon fire while we were there. The cabins have modern updates and great decor. We could have definitely spent more time here. Highly recommend!

On our way home from visiting northern Oregon and Washington, we decided to take it slower back to California and wanted to stay on the coast. I stumbled across this place on Airbnb but it actually ended up being cheaper to book through their website.It was a bit of a splurge but we LOVED it. The views were stunning. We only spent a night but I would have loved staying longer and just reading on the couch and enjoying the views from the Vanilla Villa all day. The Murphy bed in the living room was actually a superior spot versus the bedroom, in my opinion.The kitchen area was basic but had all we needed to make a simple dinner and then have coffee in the morning. Note: there is not an oven but they did provide an air fryer which worked out perfectly.Definitely grab what you need while going through Florence, that’s the closest spot for stores.We enjoyed seeing the deer exploring. We super appreciated that it was a dog friendly! We love traveling with our pup but it can limit options like this.I’d highly recommend a stay here and we hope to visit again in the future.Two very small notes: there is not a table for eating. There’s one very small, low coffee table and a desk over in the opposite corner but we ate dinner with our plates on our laps. Given the kitchen setup in the room, this struck me as a bit odd. The couches were small but fit the space and were comfortable. There was an additional chair that was not comfortable at all.I’d recommend one of those tables that can fold down to almost nothing but allow opening up to eat.Regardless, these small things did not detract from our visit or enjoyment of the Vanilla Villa!

Hidden gem on the coast. Each room is unique with views of the peaceful lake. We stopped here on the way back up the coast but this place is a destination on its own. A magical experience!

We loved our stay at the Florentine. We have 2 young kids (4, 7) and the cabin was perfect for our family. The interior was recently renovated so everything felt clean and fresh. The decor was very cute/cool/unique but still felt cozy and comfortable. The kitchen made things easy so we didn’t have to eat out every meal. The hotel staff was so friendly, very easy to communicate with, and very accommodating. It felt like we had our own personal concierge for whatever we needed. We really enjoyed exploring the lake via canoe rental. We also had fun in the evening roasting s’mores and socializing with other families. The grounds are small enough to feel like a little community. But we also had plenty of space and privacy. It was a short drive into town for restaurants, shops, dunes excursions, etc.. We only stayed 2 nights as a pit stop on a larger road trip and this seemed to be a common theme amongst the other guests. Highly recommend!

This hotel was so unique and beautifully located. They offer some great activities here. Each room is spacious and thoughtfully decorated. My only regret is not staying longer to enjoy the beautiful lake and their hotel. Also super dog friendly! Will absolutely come back again!

We had an amazing stay at the Vanilla Villa! It was comfortable and clean, with everything we needed, and the views were amazing! We loved the fire pits at night and kayaking on the lake in the morning.
