I took my brand new BMW M2 to Charlotte Auto Spa immediately after the purchase. This was the first car that I have bought for myself in 21 years and was much more expensive than anything I have ever owned. I take pride in driving a well maintained car and have detailed my own cars for almost 40 years. I wanted to protect this one as much as possible as well as make it easy to keep clean. I decided to inquire with Charlotte Auto Spa about some of the new ceramic coatings and paint protective film (PPF) that I had been reading about. They gave me great, honest, professional advice based on their decades of experience and provided many different options and price points to choose from. I chose to go with a full car PPF called Kavaca made by Ceramic Pro and then have that coated with Ceramic Pro's ceramic coating. This was a fairly large investment but Charlotte Auto Spa quoted me a very reasonable price when making a direct comparison to the same work provided by other shops. This level of work would probably be more common on more expensive six figure cars. These guys are well known for working on some very high end cars to I knew they were the right ones to trust.I am completely blown away by the results. Unlike some of the older PPF jobs that I have seen my M2 turned out actually looking better than new. The depth and clarity that was added is unbelievable. The first time that I washed it I was absolutely stunned by how quick and easy it is to clean. These guys demonstrated excellent attention to detail, even by my standards which are very high. They were very professional with communications as well as honest with timelines and are obviously real car people themselves. Needless to say the car gets a lot of compliments now and I receive many questions about it in parking lots and gas stations. I put out some feelers to local auto detailers and Got a call back from Denny at the Charlotte Auto Spa. I am so freakin’ glad I did. They got me an appointment after I explained what happened. When I got there they took a look at the situation, explained in simple terms what they would do, gave me a quote took my car back to begin work. They did whatever magic happens in the shop and brought what looked like a new car back around in all of 30 minutes. This crew was quick and professional. After all, Ceramic Pro is a costly process and requires leaving your car with them for days to cure. Throughout it all, Denny answered my questions and concerns, provided some great ideas, and even let me contact him after hours. He never complained even though I was a little too OCD during this whole process. I messed up one of my badges as well, and he replaced it for me directly from the dealer - no charge. Denny met me on a Sunday morning (his day off), so I could pick up my car. I was nearly brought to tears by how incredible the paint looked. It is literally flawless and now backed by a five-year warranty. I highly recommend Charlotte Auto Spa - and Ceramic Pro. It's a little out of the way, but worth the extra time to get there. I’ve always looked into ceramic coating my vehicle and getting a paint correction and it just so happen these guys were the pros I was looking for . I opted to go with the sport package ceramic coat and a stage 1 paint correction to remove some clear coat scratches and water spots . After explaining to me the process I was super comfortable with allowing these guys to take care of my paint ( the most sensitive item on the vehicle ) . The finished product was absolutely stunning , the amount of gloss that these guys produced was amazing , not to mention supreme water beading and self cleaning properties. Several months later I opted to have my new wheels coated as well , one of the hardest parts of a car to keep clean , again ... amazing results . A common misconception in this field of work is that these guys just wash cars and make them super clean , that is absolutely wrong , working with several layers of paint and clear coat is a very meticulous job and takes tons of patience and dedication to master . The hand washes these guys perform on customer cars are industry correct hand washes. A large percent of people wash their car incorrectly which will leave swirls and imperfections in a clear coat , it’s not as simple as dipping a sponge in a bucket and scrubbing away . At the price point a hand wash from Charlotte auto spa is absolutely the way to go if you want proper technique practiced on you’re car , these guys care for others cars as they do their own. A simple 20 dollar auto bell car wash is pretty simple and cheap , but will absolutely leave you’re car with paint swirls and scratches from the dirty towel hand dry and the dirty brushed car wash .
