I went to a few sessions there. It’s not your typical gym where you are left to figure it out yourself, it’s a place where trainers guide you through a workout. They have the equipment you need and they tailor the exercises to match what you can do. It’s also geared toward 40+ (I’m 70), so the workout is built with that in mind. If you expect a pile of iron you will be disappointed, but if you want a balanced routine geared toward what you actually need, it’s where to go.

They all have their own styles and are great and fun to work with. I started 2 weeks ago and I am enjoying my workouts 3 times per week. I like that the trainers are very flexible with my time schedule. My trainers are very friendly and at the same time they make sure they make corrections to my posture and careful with not letting me overdue what I can't or shouldn't do yet. I have never enjoyed working out but they make it fun!

After 3 weeks of going to Alloy I can safely say this is my favorite group fitness environment I’ve ever been in! I’ve had the privilege of attending classes led by both Tony and McKenna, both are knowledgeable and have fantastic teaching styles. Classes with McKenna are the highlight for me. She is an AMAZING coach and truly listens and helps tailor the session to help meet your goals and will cheer you on during a tough exercise. The bathrooms are always clean, the water dispenser is a nice touch, and the location is great. The community is supportive and makes you want to show up and come back each week! I took a class at Alloy Gym in Vista today, and I really enjoyed it! It was a small group of six, and the session was structured in pairs. We went through three rounds, and in each round there were two different exercises per person. So overall, we did six different exercises. The whole class was about an hour.The trainer rotated between all six of us, showing us how to do each move, telling us the reps, and checking on us while we worked out, either correcting form or cheering us on. We started with a warm-up so we weren’t jumping in cold, and at the end there was an optional cardio finisher with two extra exercises to get the heart rate up.It was a fantastic class, and I definitely recommend it. I’m planning to buy a package so I can go more often. I’m confident that with a few more sessions I’ll start seeing results, especially in my core, shoulders, and overall tone. The trainer said it was a full-body workout with sections focused on core, upper body, and lower body including quads and glutes. Overall, such a great experience!
