What a beautiful place that God has blessed! It's not just beautiful because of the mountains, the waterfalls, the Lodge, etc. - it's beautiful because of the Batenburg's who run this retreat location. They are both intentional in making your time here a great experience and do whatever they can to attend to your needs. Back 2 Basics has morel mushrooms! We had an awesome morning visiting with the amazing hosts and scouring the hillsides with them for these delicious little delicacies. Back 2 Basics has so much to offer beyond the obvious. Love this place and the people (and the morels!)

Just recently attended an Enter The Lion retreat this past weekend to help out and boy was this place amazingly beautiful! Michael and Pam were such amazing hosts who thoughtfully and creatively put together delicious meals for us and with their serving, they went above and beyond. It felt like being at a 5 - Star resort. Was so peaceful and filled with rest. Thank you again!

We had an amazing weekend at Back 2 Basics! There are TONS of activities for all ages, both on the property and in the surrounding area. Accommodations are safe and comfortable, and the hosts really exhibit servants’ hearts in how they look after you, minister to you, and love you. This is a great place for a retreat or an event, for people of all ages!

Back2Basics Adventures hosted an Enter the Lion retreat that I recently went to . It not only provided a great place to rest and receive, I met some new friends, ate great food, and started healing from things that I didn't even realize that I was carrying around and hurting me. I would recommend them 1000 times over.
