I had a great experience with Diablo Roofing. Hector took the time to do a true in-person roof evaluation instead of just relying on a drone flyover, which gave me much more confidence in the assessment. He was very communicative throughout the project and explained everything clearly.What really stood out was how comprehensive his assessment was compared to the other companies I spoke with. On top of that, his bid came in thousands less than the other estimates I received, without cutting corners.I was so satisfied with the work that I also had him come back later for a gutter cleaning. Overall, professional, thorough, honest, and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend Diablo Roofing.

Lesson LearnedOur roof was 30 years old and began to leak during the last winter storm. I panicked and called several “roof repair” companies. Only one company would do the repairs that week. Some of the companies had fixed minimum costs. Not knowing the repair that would be needed, I agreed to their minimum estimate of nearly $5000. The work took about 4 hours. There was more rain in a couple of days and the roof still leaked.Diablo Roofing ServicesA neighbor recommended Diablo Roofing Services. They came to my house the day I called. We inspected the roof and agreed that it was time for a new roof. Diablo provided an estimate and work scope for the new roof, gutters, downspouts and other details. Hector Gonzalez and his crew started working on a Wednesday when the rain stopped and the roofing was finished on Friday. My wife, Kate, picked colors for the shingles and gutter system that complimented the house and looked great.Mr. Gonzalez provided practical recommendations for materials and installation. He was on site to supervise work and coordinate two county/ city permit inspections. Hector kept us updated about schedule and work progress. He and his crew kept the work area clean. I Called for a leak in my roof made it a priority to get to my home asap when he arrived he assessed the situation with the leak let me know what the problem was promptly and was able to perform the repairs immediately and with very reasonable pricing! This contractor keeps deleting their page to dodge bad reviews. Hiring Diablo Roofing Services was the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor. They improperly installed the underpayment on my roof, voiding the manufacturer's warranty. The manufacturer calls for "plastic cap staples or nails," this contractor refused to use them. (see attached picture) They improperly installed my attic vents and tried to only install 4 when the contract called for 6. They had to tear off the roof they installed and redo all the work. All my gutters leak and I can't get them to call me back. DO NOT HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR!I can see in recent pictures of their work that they are still not using proper plastic capped staples to do the underpayment.
