Acute Angling should’ve known this and rescheduled the trip … Best advice to other anglers don’t go fishing in February in Argentina and don’t use Acute Angling for anything at all, at this point sure seems like they are into stealing money from loyal customers now

My Excursion on the Black Water Explorer was one of my greatest adventures. This trip was so incredibly authentic, the entire staff are native Amazonians. Our host Lilly (speaks English) was so kind and helpful, along with Antonio who waiting on us hand-and-foot. From having a beer an appetizers on the white sand beaches, to serving their famous Caipirinha drink. The food (authentic Amazonian) was fish daily along with beef, pork or chicken. The guides (all native to the Rio Negro) knew and respected the river so well. No fish finders or GPS electronics, just plain old know-how and experience. My guide Bene, took us deep into the tributaries of the Rio Negro, and found his best fishing holes. It was typical for us to catch 100 fish each day. If you want to experience the Amazon...the Black Water Explorer is the real thing (no fluff).

Amazing Bucket list experience with Acute angling on the Curicuraiari. The Acute team is on the ball with coordination, planning and making travel hassle free. Fishing was epic even for us non bass fishermen/women. Travel to/from hotel and hotel itself was on time and great. Eddie was the man in Manaus to make things easy. The boat was clean and ac was great especially after long day fishing. Staff was always ready and standing by to support, get the next cocktail or whatever was needed to make experience better. Food was good and plentiful with the beach dinners and bbq adding a nice touch after a long day which went great with cocktails. Fishing was epic and environment was unforgettable. We saw porpoises, monkeys otters, caymans, more, and countless birds of size and shapes. I guess what tells our experience best is I’ve already booked and planning two more trips with them! Thx for exceeding lifetime bucket list item!

Shared an amazing experience on the Rio Aripuana in August. The fishing was spectacular, the food was great, and the lodging was very comfortable. We saw tons of wildlife and caught tons of fish. Between fishing, wildlife, food and lodging it wrapped the whole trip into a unforgettable experience. I would and have recommended this trip to many people after having done it myself now!

My trip with Acute Angling on the Rio Negro via the BlackWater Explorer was absolutely wonderful and exceeded all our expectations. Our host Lily, Antonio, and the entire BlackWater staff catered to our every need which included daily laundry service and all the breakfast, lunch, and dinner you could eat. The food and beverages were plentiful, diverse, and simply added to what was a fishing trip of a lifetime. Our fishing guide, Sebastian, was outstanding, very skilled and experienced, and worked as hard as he could to put us on abundant and large Peacock Bass every day. I highly recommend Acute Angling and will certainly be booking them again for my next Amazon fishing adventure! Thank you Acute Angling!

Great trip, absolutely met expectations. We went on the multi-species trip and it did not disappoint. Took our 9 year old boy with us and he had a great trip as well. Felt safe all the time, food was awesome, accommodations first class for being so remote and the fishing as good as we could have hoped for. We also did the arapaima add on day and had a blast. Such a great experience all the way around.

What an outstanding and amazing trip we had. It was everything and more than we expected. No problems with our flight and Eddy was waiting for us at the airport. The overnight stay at the hotel was perfect to recharge our batteries. Very clean, and the food/buffet there was inexpensive and delicious. The float plane ride in was awesome....the scenery was great, best sight was landing and seeing the barge. Arrival onboard was so smooth, Lucio ( spelling ? ) helped us all get settled, we had a nice lunch and then out fishing. The long, long casts definitely can wear you down in the heat and humidity, but knowing that the next cast could be a grande' kept me going. The boats took a while to get used to. I wish the 2 anglers were separated father apart for ease of casting. Neither of us would take the chance and stand on the elevated front deck. Stand up butt seats would definitely help take off some of the back strain too. Fishing was tougher than we both thought it would be....keep casting ! Definitely you are a fisherman, not a catcherman ! Our biggest peacock apiece was 13 lbs, biggest of the trip was another angler with a 14. We were hoping for even bigger, but that's fishing. Loads of fish in the 5-9 lb range. The food was excellent....amazing. Angela, our chef, kept us all well fed and we all gained a few lbs. We also had a great group of guys ( 4 others ), and it was nice sitting down for all meals with them and Lucio to shoot the breeze. I would love to do this again...can my shoulders and hands take it? By the end of the week, our hands were swollen and tired from casting and casting, but you had to commit to it. So glad that I went with Acute Angling!!!Andrew Stone was great assisting me and answering ALL of my questions.Thanks for an amazing life adventure !

I went on the floating bungalow trip and it was one of the best fishing trips I've had. I caught multiple double digit peacock bass and lots of smaller ones along with other species. We saw all kinds of wildlife and birds too! All the staff were excellent, from the host in Manaus, to the cooks, guides, and camp host, everyone was great and the food was incredible.

Fantastic January 2024 trip on Blackwater Adventure !! Great fishing with good % of peacocks over 10lbs. Guides were excellent and easily handled both beginners and experiences peacock bass fishermen. Accommodations & staff are first class, as well as meals and open bar. I will be setting up another group for next season.

michael grant of lake tahoe, spent 8 weeks in 2 week increments with acute angling... missed one trip to covid. these people have it completely together in all realms of their adventures!!! organized, great facilities, food, service, fantastic native indigenous guides whom grew up right their in their regions and know exactly their land, area and trade. ... i have only done 2 of there many trips and the arapima extra, ALL of this is NOT to be missed! i have caught and released many different varieties of amazonian fish, and critters safely with their guides help.can not recommend these trips highly enough! the owners have been completely fair with me when i have had problems.Take a look at their trips, pick one or a couple of them and go have a completely GREAT time and experience ! see michael grant on their galleries for diversity of what can be done with these people... and enjoy totally...can not wait for my next adventure(s) with them!like nike used to say, sign up and " just do it" i have not been disappointed at all... but just the opposite!come get your river monster(s) here!!!again, JUST DO IT !!!no, no, no !!! just go!

I have been to Brazil fishing with this company twice in the last 22 years. Just got back in December. First class operation with people working very hard to get you the fish you want to catch. The accommodations were wonderful and people took great care of us. From planning to arrival home they were on top of it.
