One of the worst car-buying and after-sales experiences I have had. My Tata Safari delivery was delayed, and there were no proper or timely updates from either the salesperson or the service team. Communication was poor, follow-ups were lacking, and I had to keep chasing them for basic information. At delivery, the car had paint damage/scratches that had to be corrected later, and it was not cleaned properly before handover. During a subsequent service visit, I noticed another scratch on the body paint. The customer advisor had taken photographs, but because it was raining, I could not properly inspect the vehicle at that time and noticed the scratch later. Even more concerning, my charger went missing while the car was in the dealership’s custody for service. The customer advisor verbally promised to provide a replacement within three days, but that commitment has not been fulfilled, and I have received no call or update since. I am still waiting for a resolution. To make matters worse, I paid for anti-rust underbody coating, but Cauvery Motors failed to perform the treatment at delivery. This was discovered only during my first free service on 15 October. When I requested the pending treatment, it was raining heavily, so I cancelled the application. The service team should have proactively advised me about the suitability of the weather and recommended rescheduling, rather than leaving me to make that technical decision myself. Overall, my experience has involved delayed delivery, poor communication, inadequate vehicle preparation, repeated paint-related concerns, a missing personal item with an unfulfilled promise to replace it, and failure to deliver a paid service. I expected much better from an authorised Tata Motors dealership. I strongly advise prospective customers to thoroughly inspect their vehicles at delivery and collection, verify all paid services and accessories, check their belongings before and after servicing, and obtain written confirmation of every commitment. Very disappointing experience with Cauvery Motors, Avalahalli.
