I decided to sign up for a zoom call with John because I needed help considering a self build plot I had found. The call went extremely well, he listened to everything I said, he understood my situation and needs and his advice was clear, open and above all honest. Based on his input and some further research I decided not to pursue that plot but if I did decide to go ahead with a project I would happily use John’s services to manage it on time and within budget. I encourage new self builders to take up his offer of a free call, you’ll learn plenty and he’s a nice bloke too.

I only came across 369 CUG and John Ellis a few days ago. I watched his free training videos, left comments and feedback as instructed and was rewarded with an excellent project estimator spreadsheet. John is clearly knowledgeable and experienced in the field and well positioned to help de-risk any developer or self-builder's construction project. A good communicator, the videos were dense but clear. I have a feeling we will work together in future.

I've been working with John for the past six months, starting with an initial consultation where he quickly made me realize the importance of professional assistance in negotiating an option agreement. Last year Myself and my husband had the challenge of extending our home to make it big enough for our expanding family as I was pregnant with our second child. It was a very daunting task with neither of us having experience in self building before! Thankfully we were lucky enough to come across John and his team and 369 self build academy! Like any self build we encountered many set backs along the way but John and his dedicated team were on hand to offer guidance and expertise turning what could have been an extremely stressful situation into stress free progression to our dream home. A major factor that helped was that John and the team had a huge catalogue of local tradesman and merchants on hand which enabled us to chose who was right for us and our needs. We were on an extremely tight budget which of course added stress but John provided an well structured cost plan which helped us stay on track with our budget along the way with only minimal changes needing to be made along with being well informed of any adjustments required.
