The team here has been nothing but amazing. My daughter started going and some days finds it hard to get on the mat. There is always a coach that can come and help support her when she is a little scared. I have started going to their women's self defense class and all the ladies there are kind, helpful and encouraging. The owners and the team a truly passionate about what they are doing and it is a blessing to be going here.

I would like to thank the owner of this amazing gym, Igor, for the incredible work he has done in creating such an outstanding training facility with fantastic coaches and dedicated athletes.My son and I had the opportunity to visit while we were traveling, together with our coach, who is a friend of the gym’s founder, Igor. We were absolutely impressed by the passion, professionalism, and energy of everyone there.What amazed me the most was seeing more than 60 people training at the same time, yet everything was perfectly organized. The students were divided into age groups, and each group had its own coaches, ensuring that everyone received individual attention and high-quality instruction.This is truly an exceptional gym with an incredible atmosphere. I've had the pleasure of not only training here, but also calling this school "home" over the past year.My family consists of four Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athletes. Last July, we moved to Central Florida from another Gracie Barra overseas. I can honestly say there is NOWHERE that compares to Gracie Barra Kissimmee.Over the past year, we've had the privilege of learning from incredibly skilled in-house professors as well as outstanding guest instructors. More importantly, we've become part of the GBK family. Professor Igor and Silvia are amazing people who make everyone feel welcome from the moment they walk through the front door.It took me a full year to write this review because I wanted my words to be genuine and based on real experience. If you're looking for a school that is welcoming yet challenging—one that pushes you beyond your comfort zone, encourages growth, and maintains a high level of training—you've found the right place.The academy is always clean, with well-maintained mats and facilities. There are showers available if you need to head somewhere after class, as well as plenty of seating where parents can relax while their children train or where teammates can stay and chat after class.Gracie Barra Kissimmee is truly a gem and unlike any academy we've ever visited. In fact, our original plan was to travel across the U.S. full-time in our RV. That plan completely changed after we found GBK. We loved it so much that we decided to stay in Kissimmee—we're still living in our RV, but now we're happily stationary because this academy has become home.If you're considering training here, I encourage you to stop by and experience it for yourself. I think you'll quickly understand why we chose to stay.

I reached out to Igor at Gracie Barra Kissimmee a few months ago as I was planning a friends bachelorette party and we wanted to do a group self defense class. Igor and his team are were so accommodating. The whole group had a great time and learned some new skills as well. I highly recommend their classes, especially their women’s self defense. They are truly passionate about the work they do and are giving back to their community through those classes. We will definitely be back for the next girls weekend!

I’ve trained at Gracie Barra Kissimmee and can confidently say it’s the best place in Kissimmee to train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The instructors are knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely care about each student’s progress, whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced competitor.
