This place is a JOKE! Standup Masterclasses + an amazing and supportive Comedy Community make this the best place to begin learning the writing and performance of Standup Comedy... I took the 4 Week Bootcamp and at every class received help and insight into my material, performance and the creative process. The Classes are motivating, the Open Mics are actually FUN, and the Showcases feature the cities Top Comics so you're always around artists and students who are supportive and successful. Stand-up is a journey. Backroom Comedy is a great place to start.

Loved it! Great to see a variety of comedians and their different styles. Also thought the feedback segment was interesting to watch. Good vibe and I appreciate the art. Thank you for the great night!

The bar was great the comedy was funny. There was a pair of drunk hecklers that I wish had been removed as the disrupted the flow so badly. The only reason I took off a star was the room smells like backed up sewage. Would go back again!

My family came visiting from America and we had a hell of a time listening to up and coming comedians from the area. Everyone put on a great show and the people who ran the show were lovely! Could not recommend enough!!!

Went to a show last night. 12 comedians of varying experience & ability. As a big fan of the art form, it's cool to see newbies getting up on stage, failing, trying, failing, trying....and then getting a massive laugh from the crowd. You can picture them years from now crushing it in front of a massive crowd

Attended the show yesterday with my partner on a spontaneous whim, and we’re so glad we did! It was absolutely hilarious and so much fun. We loved every second of it and can’t wait to come back with our friends and family!

Booked a group of 14 here for a Saturday night show and it was the perfect call. They set us up with the best seats in the house, and the headliner actually came by and bought our group a round of drinks before the show even started — completely unexpected and such a classy move.Everyone had a great time. Fun atmosphere, hilarious show, and the staff made the group booking effortless. If you’re planning a night out with a big group, this is the place. We’ll be back!

Second to none in the world of comedy, creating and fostering a nurturing and supportive environment for all comedians and aspiring comedy professionals. The Cleric 0f Chaos, insists upon their skill, their philanthropic nature in giving their time, and their beauty as human beings. We plug them on the podcast and believe in their skills for a reason. They care. A lot.The amount of talent that has come through these doors cannot he understated. Owner Brandon Sobel, hosts Darren Bourke, Alex Burke, Calum, Brandon always do everything they can to make each and every single show as stellar as can be. The bar staff, the doorman, the showrunners, everyone does an absolutely incredible job, and you've never seen anything like it.They also take time to teach people how to be excellent comedians through meticulous study, feedback, practice, getting reps in at open mics and even providing these comedians with opportunities to headline, to perform regularly and become better with each day.In comedy, nothing is guaranteed, but these guys know what they're doing. They understand how difficult it is to truly make it. But, they also know that effort, yields reward. Being able to apply feedback is essential as well, and they do what they can to mold and shape the comedians of tomorrow. We here at the podcast, highly suggest you check them out. They run shows 5 nights a week at 8pm and 10pm, and Sundays, they give an opportunity for comedians to do sets and get immediate feedback. An outstanding venue, beautiful people, and amazing skills all around.Cheers, to the Backroom Comedy Club- Host of the Cheating Death Podcast

Had a lovely time there last night. On the smaller side but made it more intimate. Had a surprise headliner Donnell Rawlings which was cool too. The bartenders were super fun. Fun evening!

Great shows at this venue with an outstanding professional staff and crew.Reasonably priced drinks on both upper and lower levels and food available in the restaurant above, this is an outstanding place to get yourself some reps in, or attend a very funny show.Phenomenal.

Outstanding facility for both audiences and comics alike. A rather beautiful venue, amazing staff, and ownership.Shows take place Wednesday through sunday at 8pm and 10pm, and they even offer a really cool program if you want to get into comedy yourself.Highly recommend, ten out of ten.

Really solid local stand up talent that puts on a great show! A few standouts even! Went on a Saturday night and it had a decent crowd, but not packed unfortunately. The drinks were reasonable and there is an actual bar upstairs to sit and enjoy at before the show!

Came here to see Tatiana Frank. Hilarious comedian out of New York. Awesome show. Great opening sets. Loved seeing the owners' love and involvement in the whole thing. Had such a good time, I came back 1-2 weeks later with friends who all had a blast.

2026-05-29T13:54:03.612Z

Owners are super nice and encouraging to new comedians as well as new comedy fans. I come here a decent amount and never had a show that I didn’t enjoy myself. If your a fan of comedy go now.

Loved this spot. We will be back!!We came for a Valentines show and had so much fun. An array of comic came up, we got good laughs with most of them. We enjoyed the MC and the owner at the end of the show. We loved all the sets though, truly everyone made us laugh at least once.Very cozy underground comedy club vibe. Upstairs is an "Ethiopian sports bar" they serve pizza and fries etc. And we only had fries but they were good and they brought food down to your seat.Drinks were about 10 bucks each, but my amber lager was delicious. We will be back march 6th to see Sandra Battalingi, we loved her set on Vday!!
