Woke up with a painful tooth abscess and a splitting headache. With no insurance and my regular dentist closed on Fridays, I started making calls hoping to find help. Thankfully, I found Desert Hills Dental, They got me in that same morning . The doctor and his team were great — kind, professional, and put me at ease while resolving the issue quickly. They also set me up with an affordable yearly plan that includes cleanings, exams, cancer screenings, and X-rays. I’m so grateful for their care and for seeing me on such short notice! Thank you

Genuinely friendly and caring team! They all work hard to keep the place clean, friendly, comfortable, and make sure you are taken care of. Everything looks well maintained and you can really see they all enjoy working together. Dr Swapp is very understanding and even works out of his general hours occasionally to take care of a patient in need. He explains every issue or potential likely issue and how to prevent it or how to fix it. He knows lots of different approaches and uses his knowledge and skills to perform the right procedures at the right time/stage. I have been to 3 dentists in this town after moving here 4 years ago. They either don’t know their stuff, are rushed, or too booked out to get in for emergency dental appointments within the week/month even and such. I have never had that issue here! They get you in fast and even fit you in as much as they can same day/week. Our family has had a few last second needs and we can always get in. Truly recommend going here! Great dentist and team!

Doctor Swapp and his team are great! Really taken care of me and my family with all of our issues. Did a great job with my implant on my back molar that needed to be done and made me really comfortable and educated with the process and what my options were. I have a genetic condition that affects my connective tissue so going to the dentist has always been very painful and very scary. Dr. Swapp & everyone at the office have been amazing and very accommodating. It’s so nice to be listened to and believed, especially having bad experiences in the past with other dentists. These girls are amazing! Paperwork was amazingly fast and easy! I called at 8 and they had me in an hour later not even being a patient either! I totally chipped my tooth in half and they fixed it within an hour of being there paperwork and everything! I am very grateful for these people!

Obviously going to the dentist is never the most enjoyable experience but Dr. Swapp and the rest of the staff have made it about as pleasant as it can be! They have made it super simple for me by explaining what is causing my issue and what they are going to do to fix it! Patricia at the front desk has been great to work with. She worked around my busy schedule when setting up new appointments. She makes sure to send me reminder texts so I don’t forget about an upcoming appointment. Just a great person all around. I couldn’t be happy with my experience. I highly recommend these guys!

Dr. Swapp is excellent! After 3 consultations with other dentists, I selected him to be my dentist. I needed a new bridge and he gave me great advice, and went out of his way to get my bridge placed before a long trip. Very professional and took the time to discuss my concerns. My elderly mother had a fall on her face while visiting from out of town, and Dr. Swapp rushed in on a Saturday to take care of her needs. He was very kind to my mother, and our entire family. He was also very clear on the courses of action for her to resolve her issue. I would make him my dentist if I lived in St. George.

I don't live in St. George, but recently was in town and had a family emergency - on a Saturday - where a relative needed immediate dental care. Dr. Swapp was the ONLY dentist who returned our phone call when we were calling around looking for a dentist who could help. He immediately called back, listened to what had happened (my sister's mother-in-law fell and chipped two front teeth) and he told us to come to his office and he'd take a look and assess. He showed up and gave this woman what I can only describe as the most caring, compassionate care I've ever seen. I don't think I've ever been as impressed with a dentist, let alone any kind of doctor, as I am with Dr. Swapp. The residents of St. George have a GEM in having this man available to provide them dental care. I love my dentist, but If Dr. Swapp moved to Orem I'd drop mine in a heartbeat and switch to being his patient! Wow. I honestly think when they made this man, they broke the mold. You just don't see that kind of "from the heart" service anymore. He took an X-ray, was honest and up front about what happened to her teeth, he told us what our options were, he was willing to do whatever we decided, (no matter how long it took) he told us the price, and everyone, including the patient, walked out of his office with a smile -a couple of hours later! We even posed with him for a selfie. And you know what? We're all going back to Provo/Orem and telling everyone what a great dentist they have in St. George with Dr. Swapp. And I'm telling you, reader, if you're looking for a dentist in the St. George area, call Desert Hills Dental. Now. You're not going to be disappointed. Dr. Swapp, I wish you and your practice many years of success! Keep doing what you're doing, and making people smile. God bless you!

As a health care professional I know that anything a provider does should be explained and patient questions should be answered. This guy did not bother explaining gum gap readings, was very lackadaisical. Even after doing panoramic xrays, which I did not ask for & was billed for, he overlooked a cavity I had, which was found by one of the hygienist. When she brought it to his attention he just said "huh, I didn't even see that" & she had caught it immediately. Now imagine if this guy was doing surgery on you. You make the call if you want to see him or not. Do not take what your Dr. or Dentist as Gospel, ask questions. Will never visit this dentist again.

I just moved to St George and had a tooth that was causing major pain. Dr Swapp and his staff stayed late on a Friday to get me in and did a root canal. He is very professional and his staff is super friendly. They even called a couple of days later to check in on me. I would highly recommend.

Soon after I moved to Utah I was in pain and unfortunately had to go to the dentist. I was very attached to my dentist ( with him for over 20 years) in California and even thought about going back and seeing him. I decided to just go to the closest dentist to me. I am so grateful for the way it all turned out! Right from the beginning Dr. Swapp and his entire staff made me feel comfortable. So extremely friendly and professional! I ended up getting a tooth implant. The whole process was a surprisingly good experience. So glad to have Dr. Swapp and his staff for all my future dental care!
