My hair has easily become my biggest insecurity over the last year. I found Shyla’s page on google when looking for a stylist who does smoothing treatment and extensions, which are far and few invetween here in Yuba city. I sent and inquiry and Shyla called me the very next morning and I shared with her my situation and she shared a bit more about her expertise and services as well. We decided to do the smoothing treatment and consultation for extensions.From our initial conversation I felt in my gut Shyla was an educated stylist who cares about her clients and her craft. The salon was nice and clean and had private rooms which in this circumstance I was appreciate of because it’s awkward talking about your biggest insecurity in front of others. Shyla was very transparent with me throughout the entire process! She’s very knowledgeable and is incredibly detail oriented. I’ve had stylists get physically frustrated trying to do smoothing treatments on my hair because it’s so curly and usually will have to touch up areas when I get home- this was literally the first time I went home and looked at my hair and can truly say there was nothing I would have changed or looked to improve the next time, she did an excellent job.Now for the extensions- I will preface this by saying I was fully prepared to invest thousands of dollars to get my hair fuller and to feel more confident and extensions can cost a pretty penny and are very much an INVESTMENT. Shyla emphasized this in her initial call with me and we talked through it again at length in my consultation so when she shared the full price for k tips with hair that would match my texture and the instal appt I was fully onboard. Shyla continued to go above and beyond, she had the hair prepped, had even given the extensions a smoothing treatment (which she did not have to do ) but I know she spent hours prepping the hair and another 4 hours installing it (which I actually thought was quite quick) and even had a gift bag for me that included a hair brush, bonnet, shampoo and conditioner and when I say the end result was 12/10 I mean it. I could have cried looking and how full, beautiful and natural my hair looked and felt it was worth every single penny.I could not recommend Shyla more- she’s educated, experienced and shes damn good at what she does . Her expertise is incredibly valuable and she goes above and beyond for her clients and it truly shows. Shyla thank you for the time and effort you put forth with my services, you’ve given me back a confidence I haven’t had in years and I’m very grateful. ♥️ Less

I don't frequently give reviews, but I am just so thankful for finding Shyla; it would be a disservice if I did not let other's know the talent we have right here in Yuba City. I have never dyed my hair before because 1. I was scared somebody would mess it up and make me look trashy and 2. I am not the best at maintaining things and figured I'd end up letting my roots grow out and look trashy regardless. Shyla came very highly recommended, so I took a leap of faith and boy am I glad I did. Prior to dying it, she consulted with me and showed me pictures of the best options that wouldn't make it obvious if I procrastinated with getting a touch up... then BOOM! She matched the picture I picked exactly. In addition to tailoring her work to my expressed needs, she also considered my actual hair and colored it in a way which gave my thinner hair some much needed dimension (I didn't even know that was possible!) It's been several weeks and I still get excited every time I look in the mirror to do my hair. Shyla could seriously work in LA for celebrities... Very highly recommend! Less

I've never had a problem with booking an appointment and she's very accommodating. She listens, which I greatly appreciate. She really gets an idea for what her clients want.
