Our 12-year-old Great Pyrenees, Willow, was diagnosed with a torn ACL and a tumor in one leg. With the cancer having spread to her lungs, neither amputation, ACL repair, nor tumor removal were viable options. Despite everything, Willow was an incredibly resilient girl — she carried on with her three good legs as if she didn't have a care in the world. Still, we wanted to give her every comfort possible beyond medication, which is what led us to Unleashed Rehab — and it was truly the best decision we ever made for her. The care that Dr. Edi and Denise provided exceeded anything we could have hoped for. Through massage therapy, PEMF mats, and laser therapy, they kept Willow relaxed, happy, and as pain-free as possible. But beyond the treatments, it was the genuine love and attention they gave her that made all the difference. Denise formed an undeniable bond with Willow — and with our entire family — that we will always treasure. After my dog Zack had ACL surgery, he was having a very slow recovery. He was in so much pain, was not eating and just sat in my lap whimpering and shaking. I was desperate for help. I was so thankful to find Unleashed Rehab. Edriana was so encouraging and worked patiently with Zack. He took to her right away. The therapy greatly helped in his recovery. The exercises she taught me to do with him helped me understand what I could expect of him in recovery and she laid out a progressive, easy to understand plan of exercises. Dr. Edi treated my dog following surgery to repair his achilles tendon. Throughout the 4 months of rehab, she continually impressed me with her skill, knowledge, communication, professionalism, passion, kindness, and caring. My one-year old Coton de Tulear, Chloe Rose was diagnosed with Legg-Calve-Perthes (“LCP”)disease a few months before her first birthday. LCP occurs when the ball of the thigh bone in the hip does not get enough blood, causing the bone to die. This causes arthritis in the joint and leads to loss of use of the leg on the affected hip. Chloe Rose had Femoral Head Ostectomy surgery in February 2019 to repair her damaged hip. While most dogs recover well from the surgery, two weeks post surgery Chloe Rose was still not using her left leg. Dr. Young, Chloe Rose’s veterinarian, referred me to Dr. Fermin (Unleashed Rehab) for physical therapy. I contacted Dr. Fermin via text and she promptly got back to me and scheduled an appointment for the following day. Dr. Fermin was very personable and knowledgeable and great with Chloe Rose. After the first session Chloe Rose began to use her left leg! I was very pleased with the result and booked more sessions. Chloe Rose has progressed steadily throughout her treatment sessions. She currently uses her leg around 80% of the time and shows improvement on a a daily basis. I plan to work with Dr. Fermin until Chloe Rose has recovered fully. I thank Dr. Fermin for providing high quality therapy sessions (varied exercises, enticing treats, laser treatments), providing easy to follow exercise plans on her site, and being available for additional guidance outside of sessions (via text, phone, or FaceTime).
