I really wanted to like this place. The ladies who braided my hair were very sweet and kind, but unfortunately, the braiding was way too tight.I got the half cornrows, half sew-in style and paid $170. I’ve had my hair braided in Africa multiple times, and I’ve never had to take it out early, but this time, it’s only been 5 days, and my scalp has been in excruciating pain. I looked like I had Botox. I tried ice, Tylenol, everything… nothing helped.I kept asking her not to braid or sew so tight, but it felt like I wasn’t being heard. I finally gave up and cut the back out myself just to get some relief.To make matters worse, there were ants and flies everywhere in the salon, which made the experience even less comfortable.Overall, they’re nice people, but baby… this install has me thinking I might be bald by the time it grows out. I wouldn’t wish this pain on anyone.

I called Nancy at the last minute, 5pm, to do my hair on a Saturday and she had already gone home. She was so sweet and came back to her shop to do my hair. This was my first time at this shop since my normal stylist wasn't available . Nancy did my hair in less than 4 hours and my braids are beautiful and nicely done. I'm definitely going back!
