I’m in my forties, and I had reached a point where getting out of bed felt like a struggle. My joints hurt, and the extra weight added to the difficulty. My relationship with food was declining.Eventually, I knew I had to make a change. I found HF online and had a friendly chat with Kevin (Kevin Hurley) that made me feel that he understood what I was going through. From the moment I walked into the gym, every coach and team member made me feel welcomed without needing to explain anything.Each coach has their own style, but they all share the same approach towards the members:They correct you gently until you get it right.They encourage you to lift more when they know you can.They offer alternative exercises that suit your abilities.They guide you, then give you space to practice—I love that balance.There’s a real sense of common purpose here—everyone’s trying to feel stronger, happier, and more comfortable in their own mind and body. The nutrition support, recipes, and small tips to stay accountable have genuinely improved my relationship with food.The premises are clean and parking is easy.Joining HF has genuinely changed my habits and my outlook. I’m thankful for the support and kindness💪💪.Update: I’m still training at this gym six months in, and I can honestly say it continues to meet my expectations.My mobility, strength, and stamina have all noticeably improved. The corrections to my form during exercises have significantly reduced the pain I used to feel in my back and knees, and learning proper breathing techniques has helped me lift heavier with more confidence.I’ve also experimented with different nutritional approaches to find what works best for me, and the support has always been there from all three coaches to guide me in the right direction.I used to find exercise boring on its own, but training in a small group—whether experienced members or beginners—and having that consistent, thoughtful support has actually made it enjoyable!
