This was amazing. Justin and Captain Joe were the best. We met some fellow MN residents on this excursion. The daughter is currently on a sailing team at home. Captain Joe spent time showing her tips on sailing. She was beaming and that was fun to watch. Justin was awesome with his knowledge of the area. Highly recommend. The sunset was perfect. Thank you!!

Cruise is 6-8pm and Tropical Sailing is very clear you need to check in by 5:30 as the sail leaves exactly at 6. At 6:15 the captain was still waiting for a couple who were "stuck in traffic". They never showed up. After pressure from all the people on board asking why we are still waiting, we left very late and captain just cut the 2 hour cruise short rather than have us sail around for the extra 15 or 20 min we left late. You should leave on time. Period.... or at the very least extend the cruise.Tropical Sailing also runs the same sail from Miami which I have been on multiple times. The Miami boat is much larger and nicer (ie music playing), and it is a 2.5 hour cruise. I recommend the Miami cruise over the Ft Lauderdale one. But if your weather is nice both are a really nice way to spend an evening on the water.

We had beautiful weather and a relaxing sail with Tropical Sailing on a Monday night in Fort Lauderdale. The Crew, Jimmy (from Maine) was outgoing and friendly and did a lovely job with the guests. We have sailed with the Miami boat several times and always enjoy getting out on the water and seeing the coast from a different perspective. I've recommended Tropical Sailing to friends visiting the area and like taking friends for the sunset sail.
