We love this location because of Leah McGhee. My daughter is a sensory kid aka on the spectrum and Leah is the only stylist that she will sit for. Leah has the patience and skills needed to help my daughter handle everything that is happening. We will 100% keep going to Sharkies if Leah is there. I also get my hair cut by Leah. I have 3a/b curly hair and I like my hair super layered and fringed and she knows exactly what to do to make my curls pop.

Miss Leah gave our two boys their haircuts. We let her know one of our sons has special needs. We were the last appointment of the day and she was very patient with him when he was having a hard time with the clippers.

We had a great experience here. I took my two year old for his first (not at home) haircut and they did a great job! He got tearful around his eyes and ears but they were so gentle and encouraging with him and pulled off a great cut! He loved sitting in the firetruck and getting a balloon!

I have a son who is 3 and autistic I called up to see if they cut hair for him. I had previously went to a great clips location and well to say the experience was terrible there..When I called Sharkey’s I spoke with Cheyanne and asked if it was possible to fix his hair up. She was more than professional. She got me booked later that evening.. My son was very delightful when he got to sit in the cars and play around.. I was so impressed with how Cheyanne was able to connect with him and with his needs.. Even to the point she was signing with him. The whole experience there has gained my business definitely and my respect.. Thank you again for helping me in such short notice..

Hair, nails, and sparkles make this such a fun and exciting experience for the girls, while the boys have a blast playing video games. Everyone receives a free balloon, which is a lovely touch. The kids can pick a show to watch, and the littlest ones get an extra-cool seat just for them. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the entire experience is enjoyable from beginning to end.

Better than Cookie Cutters! Super convenient location, plenty of parking. Has both in-car seating and chairs for the older kids. All the stylists really like kids and are good with them. I recommend this to other parents all the time.

Sarah was so patient with my 2-year-old son. He's always hesitant and has cried at other kid salons. Sarah asked if he wanted to have his hair cut on my lap and it made a world of difference! He didn't cry and he felt comfortable with her sweet demeanor and singing. We both left so relieved and happy. We'll go again!

Always such a great experience here! We just had my daughter’s first haircut today and Sarah made her feel so comfortable as well. She put glitter in her hair and painted her nails too! My daughter did not want to leave! Haha.We also have been taking my son here since his first haircut and each time he goes he gets better and better. Leah was phenomenal. She made our experience so positive, which our son in the past has been traumatized. We had barely any tears-which is great progress from screaming and being held down. She was great and we will definitely be returning! I had anxiety walking in and she even calmed me down.

Genuine interest in kids, great haircuts and styles, and the usual extras to make the experience sweet all around. Thanks for your follow through - managers and staff that care is worth the extra distance to continue bringing our girls here for cuts. Thank you!Original post:This past week was our 4th visit...and unfortunately, it wasn't the quality of the past visits. Overall, the stylists were polite and helpful. However, when we arrived there was no one in the salon and the station my child chose was not cleaned off. No attempt was made to clean it off until after the cut was complete. Additionally, my kids have been offered hair bows with their completed haircut at all 3 last visits, but only this time was there a charge for those. If this is a change of policy, it would be considerate to mark those items with their cost as my kids thought receiving this was the norm, along with the manicure and balloon. These extras are part of the experience for them, but if they are now paid parts, please let your customer base know that before checking out.

Me and my wife came in and were greeted nicely by Sheynne. She saw our son’s curly bush of a head and said she could do it however we wanted her to do it, and she came through! His first cut was awesome! Our son is a crier but he never even whimpered with Sheynne in his head. She gave us bubbles and balloons to keep him occupied as well as talked to us about the salon and how happy she was to be there! We will definitely be back to see her when our son’s bush comes back. I’m in shock about how wonderful this place was. This has been by far my favorite experience for my son. He’s two, and always has struggled with people allowing his haircut to be done. He usually screams and cries and refuses to let anyone cut his hair. Leah was exceptional at making him feel safe, entertained, and just a wonderful stylist. Not only did she sing to him almost the entire time and involve Ryder within all the steps of a haircut, she sang to him and made him laugh and smile. She is absolutely wonderful with children. I will never take him anywhere else. He also was allowed get two balloons at the end of service and she gave him a temporary tattoo. She was just overly awesome and we are so happy!

My 3 year old son has had some bad experiences at other salons to the point where he was terrified of getting his hair cut. On the ride over to Sharkey's all he could say was "Can't like a haircut!" over and over the whole way. When we arrived and it was his turn, he was screaming and squirming not wanting to be put into the car where he'd get his haircut. That is when we met Leah, and everything changed. Within seconds, she had him wanting to sit in Lightning McQueen. She then went to town cutting his hair. Not a single ounce of protest came from my son. She gave him the best haircut of his life and he enjoy ever second of it! What started as a nightmare became a dream come true! Now he keeps asking to go back. I couldn't be happier with Sharkey's and Leah is a Saint! They've gained a long term customer and I couldn't recommend them higher!.

Ms. Leah is AMAZING!!!!!! I read all good feedbacks about this place and took a chance to bring our son in to get a hair cut. He had traumatized experience with some other kid cut service and completely freaks out every time he gets a hair cut. This time, Ms. Leah and her magic worked. She’s so patient. The male worker was absolutely phenomenal, if you’re in a debate on where to take your kid, take them here! I was so worried about how my son would do, the hairstylist worked with him, blew bubbles for him, & even stopped when my son was getting a little overwhelmed. He did an absolutely fantastic job working with a moving toddler, didn’t miss a beat & gave him an absolutely phenomenal haircut. We will drive down from Muncie ANYDAY, for a place like this.
