Wonderful job! You covered a lot of information that is fundamental to a solid development effort. I plan to share this one with my staff, who see this in action but will benefit from understanding the reasoning behind how and why we do things.
I do have to check myself (and not always successfully) about the use of polite jargon such as "food insecurity" or "upward economic mobility," so that is why I added to the chat.
Regarding the fundraising for sustainability question that was raised I also pondered what the questioner was asking. Here's another angle--Using your format--
Take Robert, Junior. He's been coming to the public health dental clinic since he was just a tot and is always in our cavity-free club. That's a big change from his dad, Robert. Robert lost almost all of his teeth to untreated dental decay because his parents never had an affordable place to go. That's why we're here. Wilkes County used to have the highest rate of untreated dental decay in the state, now it has the lowest. With one in three children living in poverty in our community, making sure our dental clinic continues to operate means Robert, Jr, and his children's children always have something to smile about!
Forgive me--I am snowed and iced in here in NC and am enjoying musing. Have a great day, and thanks again for a great presentation.
