Only giving a star in order to be able to post this review. Absolutely do not ever work with this company. We hired them for a year-long campaign, with the set expectation that they would promote 10 back catalogue songs for an initial period of 2.5 months, and then would begin to add new songs as we released them. They only ever promoted 1 back catalogue song. As we began releasing new songs, not only did we not see any increase in listenership, but our engagement actually decreased! When we finally examined how they had set up our ads, we found errors with every single ad set in every campaign they had run for us. Incorrect settings, either no conversions at all or all of the conversions went to ages 65+; it was as if they hadn’t been running ads for us at all, because the ads were set up so poorly as to be essentially useless. We immediately terminated service and requested a full refund of the agency fees and the ad spend, since they had not been rendering services as promised and their communication was continuously lacking. They initially offered a 2/3 agency fee settlement, while also offering contradicting explanations for their conduct, and insisting that they had not made mistakes. We believed (and still do) that we’re entitled to a full refund. We did not hear back from Label Ready and began pursuing a third-party settlement through the payment processor Affirm.Label Ready then reached out again, offering their partial settlement but insisting they would not refund directly to us while the payment processor was also investigating. We responded that we were open to a 2/3 settlement of agency fees + ad spend, and while waiting for a good faith negotiation response, Label Ready had the third-party settlement closed with the payment processor, so we’re left with nothing. This entire experience has been a nightmare; not only are we out over $5,500 in fees and ad spend, but this campaign was to roll out our debut record, and the opportunity cost of not having any promotion or momentum leading up to its release, when that is specifically what we were paying and outsourcing labor for, is something we’ll never get back, and we’ll never be able to quantify the loss of having worked with Label Ready. Never work with them.
