I have struggled for years with chronic pain, inflammation and autoimmune disease. Its hard being young and stuck in a body that doesn't do do what you want it to do. Laura is like my fairy godmother!! She customizes her treatments to meet me where I am, I can challenge myself but not be in pain. She has guided me with kindness and dignity. Even more so.... If I could, I'd give it 100/10 stars!!!I can't say enough good things about my experience with Laura at DRM Wellness. From the very beginning, she was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in helping me achieve my goals. I came to her hoping to lose my baby weight from pregnancy, and she crated a completely personalized wellness plan that has truly changed my life.Laura was extremely thorough!! She asked all the right questions to get a full picture of my lifestyle and needs. She considered everything: my mobility, my activity level, whether I graze and snack all day or sit down and eat full meals, and what type of weighted workout I wanted to do. I shared that running was off the table because of my knees (thank you to years of basketball!!), and she built an exercise routine that respected my limits while still pushing me in a healthy and effective way. She also took into account foods I don't eat and created a delicious, doable meal plan that works with my picky preferences.Two months in, and I'm down 20 lbs, and honestly, I feel better than I have in a long time. I'm not to my goal weight, but this is just a start!! What stands out even more is how supportive and accessible Laura is. She regularly checks in and reminds me that she's only a ZOOM, text, or call away if I need her.If you're looking for someone who really listens, cares deeply, and knows her stuff, I absolutely recommend Laura at DRM Wellness!!! I introduced my client to Laura Raastad of DRM Wellness knowing that Laura would be the perfect addition to their team of caregivers to help them continue to Age in Place. Laura’s expertise in the Aging population, and her background in Occupational Therapy has been a godsend to their whole family. Their adult children are comforted in knowing that Laura has properly trained their parents on the use of many assistive devices that have been specifically picked out for their needs in their home. Laura makes their home environment as safe as possible.Often times our elderly clients do not want anyone in their home, and it takes a truly remarkable person like Laura to get them excited about her visits. I have been thanked more than once for bringing her onboard and my favorite compliment to share with her is when my client repeatedly told me that Laura…”is a gift.”Laura is bright and innovative, she is compassionate but stern in her teaching, and perhaps one of her best qualities is her follow through to make certain that insurance is covering what is rightfully owed to the client. Understanding Medicare and the intricacies of each unique plan can be daunting and she takes that worry off of the client. As a Senior Living Advisor, I will only refer providers to my clients who I know and trust, with a proven track record. I highly recommend Laura with DRM Wellness and will continue to connect those in need of her services.
