This summer was our first time enrolling in the UrSwim program. We could not have been happier with this program, but most especially with our UrSwim instructor, Brenna Dowd. She was in every way top notch, highly experienced, professional, patient, completely focused, and always punctual. Both Dean, age 3 and Sophia, age 7 were taught life saving swim skills and by the summer's end each had advanced significantly. Brenna sprinkled the swim lessons with fun incentives to keep the interest of both children engaged and was quick to find ways to encourage their progress. Dean age 3 learned the very important safety technique of how to climb out of the pool without the assistance of steps or a ladder, how to hand crawl along the sides, he learned to hold his breath, learned to float on his back, to jump into the water and by the end of the summer was swimming to Brenna underwater. Sophia age 7 learned front and back floating, and age appropriate strokes like the crawl, back stroke, breast stroke and treading water at increasing intervals. I would only give the highest recommendation for this amazing at home swimming program. It was so very convenient having Brenna teaching lessons in our pool. And it gave us tremendous peace of mind knowing that these life saving skills were being so carefully taught. We will definitely sign on again for more swim lessons next summer!! Less
