Kelsey is the best! She’s always professional, super quick, and makes haircuts fun for my son. He has multiple cowlicks, and she knows exactly how to cut his hair so it grows out nicely and we can go longer between cuts. She really knows her stuff and is so great with kids. We love her! ✂️💙

It was so easy and everyone was so nice! It was his first haircut (almost 10 months old) and he got fussy once the drape was on him like he thought he didn’t have arms anymore but she pulled back the drape so he could see them and we were able to get through it all with just a few tears. They have tvs to help distract and put on ms Rachel. He got to sit in a lightening McQueen car which would for sure have made sister jealous if she were there. For first haircut he got before and after pictures, a certificate, and a lock of his hair to save. I will go again and will bring my daughter for her first haircut when we decide it’s time.

I know we’re hitting September at this point, but I would like to review my experience with Sarena at Sharkey’s! My appointment was in May of this year. My two year-old who is nonverbal and has trouble with certain environments, including hair salons really needed a haircut. I was really nervous because I’ve been to multiple different barbershops/haircut places where they say they work with children who have special needs, but don’t really have the sensory needs that the children crave in order to be in a calm environment. Obviously, nothing is calm about a child going to get a haircut, whether they have special needs or not. However, the way the Sharkey’s Environment was, was very kid friendly, and the way every employee there was very sweet, friendly, accommodating, and patient was something that made me not only want to go back there, but brag about it to my friends! My son’s hairstylist was Sarena. When I tell you, she was so patient, and so respectful. We are so grateful for her and for everyone at Sharkey’s! We’re also grateful for an environment like Sharkey’s to help my child and other children who have special needs. My son was officially diagnosed with level three autism this month and it’s nice to know that there are places like Sharkeys that can accommodate the sensory needs of children who need it including my son. Thank you.Environment was very clean. They have nice “ Toy ride” Chairs that the children can sit and or stand in.They have lollipops. Balloons.They’re very respectful and will accommodate any sensory need requested for your child.Easy to get an appointment.Haircut looked really good. They’re good with children who move a lot.

To the lady who cut my sons hair, i feel as though maybe you thought i was unhappy, you kept asking if there was more you could do. First off with how he was acting, you did amazing! I was so inlove with the haircut, but it was like saying goodbye to my little baby. Once we got outside in the light and i was able to really see him i just cried he looks so great! Thank you so much for your patience with himEdit- this is for phill to cut my sons hair yesterday. I am so sorry for how my son behaved. He hasnt always done well with haircuts but he has NEVER acted like that. You asked me in the beginning if we used clippers last time and we did but we used them at the end to go around his edges. I think you starting with the clippers this time and clippers being the majority of the cut freaked him out. I am so very sorry but wanted to let you know even through the meltdown you did an amazing job and im hoping next time he acts better. Again i apologize
