People who search for Massage are doing it for one of two reasons, you either want something just relaxing or some human contact/closeness or maybe some time to yourself or whatever.The other reason that people get massages ia because there’s something going on with their body and all the normal stuff they’re trying in their own is not working.I come here because everything I’m trying at home is not helping me feel normal in my own skin. I’m stretching, I’m doing exercises, etc. but the muscles and tendons and ligaments are still itching or restless or whatever. Thai Massage is what I have found to be most successful at alleviating every one of these symptoms. Of course the effects don’t last forever, but this level of relief for a week or month is still priceless. I’ve tried several thai parlors but Oasis Thai Massage is the best I’ve ever found.Love this place! But you have to know what you’re signing up for. Thai massage is very different from traditional massage- walking on the back, lots of stretching, many different products used. Coming up on my 5 year anniversary of my first experience here. You could say I've been a regular- about once or twice a month. 95% of my massages have been 10/10. I can't get enough of this place! If you want to truly enjoy a Thai massage you need to let go and allow the masseuse to run the experience. It is different from traditional massage, and it may be awkward for some, but it leaves your whole body feeling so much better than a standard parlor. I have not had a massage in Thailand, I cannot comment on the "authenticity." I just know that I absolutely love the experiences I get from this place. Do not let yourself get nit-picky about things that do not matter. Thin walls, small rooms, inconsistent music, small interruptions......these things are not important. If you care about ambiance and customer service then go pay 3 times as much at a high-end spa. I had not had a massage in probably 4-5 years, just not a regular of that kind of thing and it really only came to mind because I have been in some awful pain and it was really affecting my sleep and mood. I did a few searches on Yelp of the places close to my house, and chose Oasis because they could take me same day on a weekend. I needed some relief and some serious stretching. Having played a sport like ice hockey for 35 years my body is beat up. Working at a desk for a full-time job actually screws you up also. Throw stress in there, and you've got pain, suffering, and not a great way to live when you're entering the 40's.... I'm sore all the time. Now it's in full-blown pain plus cannot sleep mode. I went in for a 90 massage, and Lee had great technique, super strength, and just the places to stretch and activate to release some of my pain points. Thank you so much for that! I just had my first traditional Thai massage at Oasis after a weekend in Mammoth left my body feeling very sore. I did not catch the name of my masseuse but she was fantastic! I was recently suffering from pinched nerves in my neck and all kinds of rocks in my upper back and instead of driving all the way to my old favorite massage place, Pho Siam, I decided to try the Thai massage in my neighborhood, Oasis, since it was right down the street. I called at 6:45 and I was laying on the table at 7pm! (LOVE THAT!) Heidy was my amazing masseuse. I described what was hurting and she knew exactly how to fix me. She did this amazing combination of Thai, Swedish, acu pressure and similar chiropractic stretches during my hour massage. What's great about Heidy is that she knows a lot about different types of massage and performs all of them exceptionally well. She's a good listener and can be extremely therapeutic or just super relaxing - whichever you prefer.The spa is clean, quiet and peaceful...and the staff are all sweet and fun to chat with.I've been twice this week and have to say that I feel pretty great and back to normal. Lord, I love this place! This is a follow up to a review I wrote about a year and half ago. I just got back from a 2 hour combo massage with Alexa. She has been my primary therapist for over a year now. I go in every 3 to 4 weeks. The trick is to stay with the same therapist, as she has learned all of my likes and dislikes, pressure points and what injuries to work with or around. Over time, this has developed into an almost perfect experience every time I go in. She likens her style to a dance... using her rhythms, the music in the background, and the atmosphere of the room to create a wonderful experience. I leave feeling like I'm walking a foot off the ground. My only regret is that I cannot afford to go in more often. If I could, I would be in every day! Less

I aksed for a 1 hour massage and I was escorted to a room and a women whose name I think was Rosie was going to give me a massage and she was very nice and sweet as she listened to all my problems I was having and she even comforted me as I was crying and kept tellign me everything will be ok... I eventually calmed down and she gave me a very good massage and took all my stress away.... I left that place feeling much better and i was able to deal with the cost of the repair to my car and I also ate some Taco's at Chronic Tacos which was almost accross the street from the massage place... I just came here last 06/25/2012 and set up an appointment for a 2 hour massage because I have pain on my arms as usual I requested for Rosie to be my therapist. The moment she entered the room she immediately asked me, what is troubling me. I told her that I just had an accident while lifting some boxes, I accidentallally injured my arms and there is some weakness if I carry again heavy objects. She assured me that she will take good care of me, and asked me several times if I'm fine and doing alright during the session. She is very professional, very well trained and treated me with outmost care. I have visited this place for a lot of times, every time I come here I always request for Rosie, and I've known her for almost two years now every where she worked I followed her because I trust her on how she deal with her clients. My fiance and I went back to Redondo Beach for our anniversary and couldn't find anything fun or romantic to do until I came across an ad at our hotel (Best Western Plus on PCH) for a massage. A couples massage (something we both haven't experienced) sounded like the perfect thing for us to do, since we are both stressed out and just there for a short time. I called a few places to compare rates and appreciate that they were perceptive to us being on a budget. It was easy to find, on Torrence Blvd, on the right hand side of the street just South of PCH and across from Wells Fargo. The atmosphere was relaxing and had an Asian feel and, as we walked through the door, they greeted us "Happy Anniversary" which pleasantly surprised my Fiance, Mike. We were then asked to fill out a form which detailed which parts of our body we'd like them to focus on, and I appreciated that they cared enough to ask. We were escorted to the couples massage room and I was surprised at how big the beds were, also super comfy. There was a curtain between both the beds that had been opened and I asked my fiance to pull it back and tuck it behind a statue so I could see him and talk to him (I'm a talker in case you hadn't noticed, LoL) Our girls/masseuses, Lee and Ananya, were soo sweet AND funny. I liked that they participated in conversation and it just made the experience so much more FUN, cos they had fun too. We each told them our preferences and the stress-relieving journey began. I LOVED seeing Ananya climbing (in a professional massage like kind of manner, LoL) all over Michael when she was doing the Thai part of the massage. Since I massage Mike too cos of his aches and pains I wanted to learn what she was doing and what Michael liked. Ananya was very thorough and listened to his needs on what areas to work through. The same with Lee, very attentive to what needed working through and the pressure was soooo comfortable. We both got a full body (almost) work though and it felt AMAZING!!!! During our conversations I found out that they were both certified and had gone through (what I thought was) pretty lengthy training, 9 months to be exact, for massage and they had been practicing for years. My fiance felt relief from his pains (although he is still sore from how much she worked through his persistent muscle spasms in his back) and he seemed surprised at how much he enjoyed the overall experience. I liked that the hour didn't include time to change before or after and that they TRULY give you a 1Hr massage. We both LOVED our time there and would absolutely go back. I came back here for a body scrub special that they had on Groupon. I have never had a body scrub before but it is what it sounds like. The lady who did it was friendly and professional. They use a mix of oils and scrubs and rub it all over your body. She was very careful to use the right amount of mixture and pressure in more sensitive areas. Afterwards, I took a shower in the back. The shower area is small and I would expect something a little nice for a spa, but no big deal. I came back and finished the session with a short massage. Another great experience. It was my first time to come here this afternoon. The place is not fancy but it is very clean and pleasant. I was a walk-in so I was expecting to wait for a bit but that wasn't the case. After I signed their form I was guided to my room and she even politely asked me to choose if I want to be on a massage table or a futon on the floor. I know she'll be stepping on my back on some parts of the session but I asked her to decide for me and she chose the room with the futon on the floor (a good choice). As for the massage... it was AWESOME! Bell is the name of the massage therapist who did the massage for me (same person who helped me out with my questions about what kind of massage I need for my back problem). She was so nice and sweet and incredibly strong for her size! She knows what she's doing and once in a while checks on you if the massage pressure is okay, a bit rough or if I want it harder, but for me it was perfect! I went there due to this back pain from working 8hrs a day sitting down in front of a computer. As I have mentioned earlier that I already told her about my back problem, as soon as we started the session she amazingly worked and concentrated on it and made the pain disappear! She told me I have a lot of knots and a very stiff back muscle and she made it all loose and relaxed. (Great job Bell!) In the middle of the session she asked me if I just want her to concentrate on my back for the whole 1hr massage or continue with the full body massage, since the pain is already gone I told her to just go with the full massage which was so relaxing! This is a great place to have a massage especially if you really feel that your body needs it. You won't regret it! I can definitely recommend this place to all. All of their therapist are certified (according to that wall of certificates in their lobby). Bell is from Thailand and was doing the massage back there so she's the real deal when it comes to Thai Massage. I cannot speak for the other therapist about how good they are but based on the other reviews I've read from here about them I guess they all have the same background with this profession. Came here for the Valentine's couple massage special. Walking in, the feel I got was little weird. I've been to Spas before but not one this small. The place is really enclosed but clean and simple. As you walk in the reception desk is to your left.The women around the reception area, were all nice and welcoming. We filled out the paperwork then headed to the room. We entered into the room with two different doors and of course 2 beds. If you ask me, I thought the 2 doors was was a little weird! As we were getting our massages, the rooms were so close to the entrance that you could hear conversations going on plus street noises from the cars driving by. It didn't help the the two women would talk occassionally. For this reasons, I gave it a 4. However, the massages itself was AMAZING. I usually ask for a male or one that is good with deep tissue. But let me tell you.... never underestimate a small woman. As the massages went on, the masseuse did stretching, flexing, and touch on my main focus points. They did moves I have not done in a massage before. This was my first THAI massage ever and if this is really how it is... I have to say this was one of the BEST massages I have ever had!!!! Less

Turns out the Thai massage portion turned out to be the most enjoyable part. For those of you who don't know, it emphasizes deep tissue and stretches. In practice, a lot of the moves they pull on you seem like they come straight from jujitsu. By the end of it, I felt sore and relaxed in places I didn't know needed to be stretched. I'm a software engineer who on a given day can easily spend 9-15 hours a day sitting in front of a computer screen. Even better, despite over a decade of nagging from my mother and grandmother, I still to this day often slouch while sitting. Pair that with my not getting to the gym as often as I'd like and the net result is that my back, shoulders and neck are frequently more crooked than a BP oil executive. Given that background, it's not too surprising that I'm a big fan of massages. Quite frequently, the things I seek first when travelling for work or pleasure are the great eats in town followed quickly by the great spas in town. And while I've grown to learn to truly appreciate a well appointed and luxurious spa, more often than not, what I *really* want (or need) is a capable masseuse. And as such, I've been from everything to high end spas in Vegas to multiple big name spas in San Francisco, Los Angeles, to hole in the walls in Honolulu searching for that ideal massage--equal parts therapeutic and relaxation. Little would I know that my Best. Massage. Ever. would end up being but 1/2 a mile from my house--in a tiny little store front near PCH that would be very easy to fly past were you not looking for it. An unassuming window front gives way to an even more unassuming lobby area--but with several friendly faces to greet me at the door. A quick walk down a very barren hallway into the massage rooms--which were spartan when compared to a luxury spa but still inviting and clean nonetheless. I typically opt for Swedish and/or Shiatsu massages, so a Thai treatment was new to me. To ease into it, I went ahead and opted for the combo Thai/Swedish treatment. Melanie had me hop on the table and proceeded to work me over for the next two hours. Kneading, pounding, stretching me into a stupor. I think I may have even drooled into the pillow. Woops. The most fascinating part of it was trying to mentally picture the positions she was in relative to my own as she contorted me from position to position. I'm in relative decent shape but am far from what one would call limber--however my apprehension of the "yoga like poses" being too much for me to handle went largely unfounded. At $60 / hr and being so close to home, it'd be silly for me to not go again. Hell, at that price and for literally having gotten what may have been the Best. Massage. Ever. I really didn't mind being a bit overly exuberant with my tip--Melanie easily earned every penny. Will definitely be back--perhaps I'll even go the full Thai next time. Right across from the Manhattan Village Mall on Sepulveda.It is a much bigger location and the new amenities are great. I've had massages at fancy spas in New York City, at some of the best hotels, various day spas, massage services up and down the coast of California, all over the country and really, this is the best massage! The ladies are great and really work hard for the clients.
