I have been suffering from severe sciatica nerve pain for nearly two years. I went to over 7 different doctors and chiropractors, had CT scans, massages, accupuncture, PT and nothing seemed to help. I didnt want to get a steroid shot as the doctor had recommended because I wanted to find the root cause. Luckily I got a referral to see Dr Gary and after a very comprehensive initial assessment, I decided to go with their recommended plan as they take a holistic approach and I could get spine adjustment, PT, massage therapy as well as supplements based on my biochem test all from the same office. I didn't feel much difference in the first three weeks and in fact I was having some more nerve irritation, but I continued with the treatments and home care and to my own surprise my pain level has since reduced drastically from 8 to about 3. I finally feel like I see the light at the end of the tunnel and will eventually be pain free and live my normal life again. Health in Balance is a fantastic healing place with excellent staff! I was referred here by a friend and originally went to improve my knee. During the evaluation I mentioned I had trouble with my foot where I was in a lot of pain if I put pressure on my toes (imagine a high heel position.) After the x-rays were done I was told I didn't have arthritis in my neck, which was previously told to me by two Doctors! I had several chiropractic sessions with Dr Jordan and he is amazing, very helpful and skilled. Then I had body work done upstairs with Noah, Josh and Dirk, who are all great. Recently I had an issue with my shoulder and after two visits I felt so much better. My knee improved and is back to normal. To say that Dr. Gary Arthur and his team saved my life - would be an understatement. In 2020, I collapsed on the tennis court and out of nowhere was having a really hard time breathing through my nose and chest. After 8 months of ER visits and multiple (almost a dozen) doctors and specialists, the consensus was that I was having a severe allergic reaction to living in Texas. Doctor after doctor, they put me on steroids and when none of the rounds of steroids worked- they told me that I should just move back to California from Texas (because Texas was the problem). I was literally wheel-chaired back to California at the end of 2020 and couldn’t barely work or function. My breathing issues were also causing me to have major anxiety attacks and fainting spells. I couldn’t even leave the house. I was so depressed and hopeless from being misdiagnosed by so many doctors. Finally, and in the first quarter of 2021, one of my friends recommended Dr. Arthur. Just after my first visit alone- Dr. Arthur figured out that I had a number of ribs out due to my neck and spine being out of alignment (bigly). He put me on a physical therapy plan and an at-home care plan which included supplements to help loosen by muscles....8 months later, I’m finally living a normal life again and best of all “I can breath”. Dr. Gary’s work is absolutely brilliant and he’s incredibility intuitive with the human mind and body. The best doctor I’ve ever worked with by far.
