Incredible food and a 10/10 experience!I placed a collection order at Hitachi Sushi and was thoroughly impressed by the quality.The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were extremely generous – you can see that clearly in the photo! I had the curry (which came with the sauce beautifully separated), the chicken teriyaki, and the gyozas, and everything was bursting with flavour.Apart from the brilliant taste, the staff were incredibly quick with the service, and picking it up was very straightforward and easy. To top it all off, the price was excellent for the quality and quantity provided. I'll definitely be returning.Highly recommended!

Absolutely fantastic experience at this spot on Hare Street. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and tasted wonderful.The ramen was a highlight, perfectly cooked with a rich, flavorful broth and a nicely soft-boiled egg. I also really enjoyed the sushi box, which had such a great variety. Everything was served in such a clean, appealing way. I will definitely be back.

I used to find them much friendlier and tastier when they were a tiny stall in Woolwich Market, but I must admit their new venue is really big and comfortable. You can honestly order any sushi on the menu and love it, but the Rainbow Roll and Dragon Roll are absolute must tries.

Walked in whilst on the capital ring walk on a Saturday just as Hitachi opened, there was no one else there and so we had pick of the seats.The waitress was was attentive and gave us a good amount of time to check the menus.The Kaarage was absolutely delicious and the chicken yakitori was sublime.I had the pork ramen 🍜 and it was so flavoursome. Everyone else enjoyed their dishes and we waddled out of the restaurant feeling very satisfied!Thank you for an amazing meal and we hope to visit again!

I recently tried Hitachi Sushi in Woolwich and it’s honestly a hidden gem. The sushi bento is amazing — the salmon is incredibly fresh, rich, and full of flavour. What really surprised me is that the price is even cheaper than common Japanese takeaway chains like Wasabi, yet the quality (especially the salmon) is noticeably better.It has become my go-to spot whenever I’m craving Japanese food. Even after moving from the small food court to its current location, the food is still just as delicious as before. You can really tell the chef puts care and attention into every order — there’s a genuine respect for the food and the customers.Highly recommend this place to friends and anyone visiting Woolwich. Don’t be put off by the simple exterior — step inside and enjoy some seriously good Japanese food!

This is a really good restaurant—the flavour of the food genuinely took me by surprise.From an East Asian perspective, the salmon sashimi is fresh and delicious. It leans slightly on the sweet side, but still well within an acceptable range. Overall, it offers excellent value for money.The tonkotsu ramen is outstanding. The toppings feel truly authentic—especially the texture of the wood ear mushrooms, bean sprouts, and spring onions, which are very close to what I’ve had in Japan. The pork is thick-cut (whereas in Japan or other parts of Asia it’s often sliced more thinly, though this is entirely understandable), and it’s well marinated. If there were one minor point of critique, it might be that the pork could benefit from a bit more torch-searing to enhance its aroma.All in all, I can’t recommend this place highly enough. The ramen is easily among the best I’ve had in the UK, and arguably one of the best value-for-money bowls of ramen across UK*The environment can be further improved haha, but I believe this could not outshine the high quality of their food.

I’ve ordered from Hitachi Sushi so many times. Their sushi is simply amazing. The tuna and salmon nigiri are thick, and you can really feel the satisfaction with every bite 🍣 I also highly recommend the grilled eel nigiri and the fried shrimp starter ✨✨✨✨

It's been two years since we went and my daughter and I are still dreaming of it. It will be our first stop next we're in London for sure.There is a great selection in the menu and the food is freshly prepared and cooked in the kitchen area in the centre. You can taste the love and effort put into each bite.The service is respectful, the place is lovely and calm and it was a place of recovery for us after a long and hectic weekend.Worth every penny and more.

The restaurant was very dirty, tables and menus sticky, floor filthy, toilet broken. The sushi was nice but the chicken teriyaki and chicken bites were disgusting and did not taste like chicken. It was nothing like the photos online. My friends had stomach pains after eating it. I would not recommend this place.

This was already my fifth time ordering takeaway from this restaurant. The sushi platter includes a great variety of rolls, and the price is very reasonable. It’s perfect for sharing with friends during a small gathering. I honestly didn’t expect to find this kind of small sushi spot in London.

The food is great, we came here and had dinner for six and had a great time, it’s very chill and not so busy so there vibe is quiet and enjoyable. The sushi is fresh and the prices are good for London rates. Perusa was our server and her smile is great, and she was really nice. Will definitely come back.
