Talk about a miracle worker. Helen came into our lives a year ago to help with our boy and I truly cannot imagine a life without her in it.We rescued our pup Finnegan from Wags & Walks at about ~2 years old. While he was already pretty obedient, we quickly learned that he *hated* the crate, was a bit of an escape artist, and could not be left alone. Our boy spent a ~month with her doing the board and train program, with a laser-focus on his separation and confinement anxiety. We could not leave the house without giving him trazodone, and as a mutt with just about every working/high-energy mix in him, we were struggling with his energy regulation. Basically our lives revolved around making sure he was enriched and properly worn out, and mitigating his anxiety so we could leave the house. And then Helen came in! Our boy has been off trazodone for 11 months— hasn’t needed it once since leaving Piper’s Place. He can stay calm in his crate, being left alone for HOURS. It is night and day! He will even go lay in his crate by choice now. We no longer have to go do sprints with him during the day, as he discovered his “off” switch and knows how to use it. Not to mention, he mastered off-leash work with Helen so when we go to run and play, he can enjoy that freedom and we are confident in his recall and off-leash manners.Helen is the best. We love her, her pups, her boarding program, her group classes— It has given us the best little community! She’s approachable, insightful, and deals with alllll of my questions ;) We are forever grateful for her help in giving our Finnegan the confidence to be his best self!!!!
