Absolutely thrilled with the photos Jon took of my dog, CúChulainn! Cú is a ball of energy — nonstop movement, goofy antics, and a total ham — so I honestly didn’t know what to expect going in. I was present for the whole session and saw firsthand how wiggly and wild my dog was, so I was shocked when I saw the final pictures. Jon somehow managed to capture the most stunning, soulful, and joyful shots of Cú — it’s like he froze his personality in the best way. The whole experience at Soul Dog Studios has been brilliant. Bertie was made to feel at home with a lovely welcome and get used to the camera and lights. We came here today with Shiloh & Charlie and left with beaming smiles. It is difficult to find the words to express tmy experience with Soul Dog Studios. I had a photoshoot booked for my dog, Lexie, but unfortunatley a few days prior, I found out that her cancer had got the better of her and she was not going to survive until our booked date. I messaged Jon who offered to open the studio that very evening so that we could get some photos done before her passing. As Lexie was still presenting as well, despite the tumour under her tongue taking over, I decided to accept his kind offer. It was the best decision ever.Jon spent time breaking the ice with Lex and showing her the camera so she felt relaxed with such a big piece of equipment as she was a nervy dog, and when the flash went off. She was so relaxed, she shone throughout the experience and despite many tears through such an emotional experience, I now have the most wonderful momentos of my beautiful dog. Jon captured the real essence of Lexie who is difficult to photograph as she used to ensure she put on her most depressed face whenever I got my camera out! I treasure every photo so much and the fact that Jon managed to take such vibrant, beautiful photos of Lexie is incredible. He also managed to get great photos of us both despite my tears (a true skill!) and was so understanding and empathetic throughout. The experience is so very worth it.From the welcome from Jon prior to the appointment, at the studio, the 'slideshow' after the shoot and the end product - I cannot recommend this highly enough. From start to finish the whole experience was 10/10. Jon and his team were not only amazing but made the whole process extremely easy.The session was perfect & Jon listened to exactly what I wanted/hoped for and he couldn't of got it more perfect. I love the ‘silly’ shots that really capture my boys personality & i was overwhelmed with how amazingly he managed to do this & the amount he managed to get!I had an idea of purchasing around 2-3 prints but ended up getting 5 prints & 4 digital! I have a ridiculously close bond with my pooch, and after the recent death of our other dog saw saw Soul Dog Studios' post and realised I would love to have some art work that was still around even when my beloved Lottie isn't. It's been great working with Jon, from the Bonio Lottie received in the post, the pre appointment chats online and then the photo shoot today. I am not someone that enjoys having their photo taken, or likes any photos I am in, but it was relaxed from the start and Jon made me feel at ease, as well as giving Lottie the time she needed to get used to studio and the lights. Jon absolutely blew us away with our photography experience. Through an advert we saw on social media I found an opportunity for a photography experience, cinematic viewing and discount off the finalised artwork in exchange for Jon to use the photos for advertising purposes. Jon is so easy to get on with and clearly has positive experience in customer service, through emails messages phone calls, a video call and then in person. He has always been friendly, has a great energy and is polite and understanding. Jon has also made this experience more accessible financially to those who don’t have a lump sum of £££ in their bank accounts supporting the option of payment plans which was very helpful. We were given drink vouchers to use at the dog friendly cafe minutes down the road and really enjoyed this too! It was a great additional touch making the experience all the more enjoyable and relaxed. We are so so happy with the photos of our fur baby or labradaughter as Jon introduced me to! We cannot wait to see the finished results and if they’re anything like the examples in the studio we are going to be absolutely in love! Lovely photoshoot with Jon, the session was friendly and relaxed. Thank you Jon for an amazing experience today in the studio with our 2 year old fox red lab Clover. We hadn't done anything like this before and thought it would be a great experience for her and us, plus our new home would look lovely with some special artwork. Clover absolutely loved it and we were so surprised how well she took to the demands of poses for a dog her age. Jon is clearly so passionate of his work and very talented. We had a photoshoot with our senior greyhound a couple of weekends ago. Ahead of our shoot, Jon arranged a short zoom call to run through what to expect on the day and answer any questions we had. When the day arrived, our hound was being less than cooperative! Jon was patient, great with our dog and secured some amazing shots. He started with just our pup, then got some shots of all of us together, and then singles with our boy. After a short coffee break on Jon, we went back to the studio to see our pictures. They had my wife and I in tears (in a good way!) and it was so hard to not buy them all! Jon is a lovely guy, a true professional and most of all, you can tell he truly loves dogs. Right from the start it was all about the dogs, letting them explore the studio so they were totally relaxed with Jon and the environment before a camera was introduced to the proceedings. I took my two year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Wesley, for a photoshoot at the studio. Wes was not in his most cooperative mood but the photos were nonetheless stunning! After declaring that having me in the photos would just ruin good photos of Wesley, some of my favourite photos were actually of the two of us together. The viewing session was lovely and we compiled a storyboard of four photos for a piece of framed wall art. I cannot wait to see the final piece! Highly recommend. Less
