The academy is consistently clean, which I noticed right away and appreciated.I joined the fundamentals program as a smaller woman and was nervous I’d get overpowered or left behind. The instructors are patient and knowledgeable, and they teach technique in a way that works for all body types. I was very nervous to try my first class but the nerves were gone by the time we started. I really appreciated the time taken after class to check in with us and allow everyone to ask additional questions.It’s a welcoming environment if you’re starting from scratch. The fundamentals program made it easy to feel included and actually learn. Five stars.

*EDIT* Unfortunately, in fall of 2025, there was a noticeable dip in quality: frequent changes in instructors (inconsistent teaching/curriculum/safety standards) and a decline in cleanliness have caused me to leave this gym. I talked to gym management about the cleanliness, but the feedback was not well-received and that made me decide to leave.As well, the women-only classes were cancelled and the gym had no appetite, despite lots of feedback, to bring it back. Many of the women left the gym after that. Hopefully, things go back to when they first opened the gym.Original review:Great community feel, friendly instructors, and a wonderful place for all ages, all sizes. Really love the women's classes.

Ground-X has been an awesome place for my daughter and I to begin learning Jiu Jitsu! My daughter has been in for 3 months now and is loving it. Watching everyone enjoy it so much gave me the desire to join also.The owners did a wonderful job in answering all of our questions while we registered. And the coaches have been excellent! The facility is clean, bright, and welcoming.If you’re thinking about starting Jui Jitsu, this is the place!

Had a really great experience at Ground X! Joel was super welcoming, friendly, and made the whole experience feel comfortable from the start. The class was a lot of fun, and you can tell everyone there is genuinely passionate about what they do.

Came for the open mat this past Saturday on the recommendation of one of my training partners. I met Joel at the front door and he was friendly and showed me around the Gym.Great facility, clean mats, lots of light and great airflow. I can't speak to their training programs as this is my first time in the gym, but the open mat was fantastic! Great rolls and friendly atmosphere. Lots of No-Gi and a few rolling in the Gi. 100% will be back. Thanks for hosting!Cheers.

We attended the orientation at Ground X yesterday and had a great first impression. The coaches were friendly, professional, and very welcoming. They took the time to explain the program and make sure we understood what to expect.After the orientation, we were impressed enough to register for the one-year Jiu Jitsu program.
