We’ve been to several Sharkey’s locations around the DMV, but both of my kids always ask to come back to this one. The staff genuinely love working with children, and I truly believe kids can sense that. Everyone is so kind, patient, and welcoming.They’re always quick to help over the phone and incredibly accommodating during every visit. The fun styling cars and TVs make haircuts something my kids actually look forward to, and the prizes at the end are always a big hit!I can’t recommend this location enough. If you’re looking for a stress-free, kid-friendly haircut experience, this is the place to go!

I have had two experiences at Sharkey’s since the new owner has taken over. Both times I took my son for a mixed hair texture cut, and the second for a toddler’s first haircut as well. Both times the staff were knowledgeable, patient, and friendly with the kiddos. The experience was magical for both, and they loved it so much they told every stranger they met about their car haircuts for the next week. I recommend this location for children’s cuts.

Amina has been my son’s one and only his whole life. It’s nice to see a familiar face, and Amina is so very excellent!Be sure make an appointment. Do not be late- more than 5min and you lose your spot.This place is clean and punctual. Many types of seats for kids from pink jeeps to chairs with gaming consoles.

If I could give 26 stars I would! Lisa made our 15 month old’s first haircut something my husband and I will remember and cherish forever! She was absolutely incredible and perfect! She was the sweetest human being, AND she gave our baby the perfect baby mullet we envisioned! It was a 1000 out of 10 experience ALL because of Lisa! We will be returning and will be back to see Lisa! Thank you forever Lisa!!! You can just tell she LOVES her job and the kids! I was so anxious and emotional to get his hair cut, but she made everything fun and exciting!

On our third cut we had a bad experience which really upset us. However, the owner called me personally and was the most kind, professional, and relatable woman who proved she was a good leader. She had my son come back in the next day with her best stylist to fix the haircut. She also gave my son his next cut complimentary. The stylist Amina was incredible, and made my 2 year old son beam from ear to ear the whole cut. Even though we had one bad experience, the owner made it right, fixed the wrong, and turned our experience into something great. I'm giving Sharkeys a 5 star review, because even though there was one mistake, it was handled beautifully and we will be coming back time and time again! (As long as we get Amina). The owner cares, the stylists care, and I highly recommend bringing your littles here!

Took my newly two year old here for his first haircut. Amina did a wonderful job with a very nervous toddler who slowly didn’t realize she was cutting. Will be back for sure!

Make an appointment if you're going on a weekend. It was packed in there!!The cars they sit in have seatbelts and they have buttons which can make noise and make the tires spin. My son loved it. Was $39.99 for the whole first time experience. Amina is our go-to stylist at sharkeys and she is always fantastic. It’s generally easy to schedule cuts with her in advance. She’s quick, but thorough and patient with our kids. Highly recommend!
