My husband and I very ambitiously added a rescue puppy to our family while also having a 6 month old and quickly learned we needed a little extra help in helping our puppy with his looming separation anxiety & some more advance commands.Hania went above and beyond during the initial conversation, reviewing what she would be teaching- how it would be taught, going over concerns and overall explaining the process and continued support after graduation.Dill went to the board and train program for 3 weeks (w/ an additional week based on Hania’s feedback) and at graduation had come leaps and bounds from when we dropped him off. During his time there she was responsive, informative and always gave plenty of feedback from the day so we could learn with dill as he learned! Hania treated dill like part of the family and it showed at the graduation. The graduation was smooth, informative and we left with all the tools for success.What I most appreciate is the continued support from the team at camp legacy dog, whether it be a recommendation on a training tool, how to correct a new forming behavior, private lesson or even just a conversation- she goes above and beyond to make you feel in control of the situation and provides all the information you need to continue to be successful! Hania worked through my Cane Corsos stubbornness and did a great job. I know he can be bull headed and quite a challenge when he wants to be but she worked through all his moods. They even let us know when Willow got a tick on her, and got a tiny little hot spot on her foot. I was so appreciative of the time they took to help us learn, so we could all be successful together. Willow has learned to settle, heel on leash beautifully, and the place command has been a saving grace for us. Max is a man’s man kind of dog so he warmed up to Hania’s husband Seth a lot faster & they worked together quite a bit. They both did an amazing job! At graduation they made sure we knew how all of the commands worked and how to use them (think classroom and interactive learning). When we got Max home we struggled with our first visit to a busy park. One text to Hania and she was at that park the next day to help us go through everything again until we felt comfortable. It was a huge help! This was the best decision we could have made for Max’s quality of life. He’s a happier dog and now we can all go on adventures together without being anxious about his behavior. Hania amazed us as none of his behaviors phased her. The thought of leaving him with her for training did not bother us at all bc of the professionalism Hania displayed and we were ready for a break from him. The day he was ready for graduation we were eager to see his progress but had no idea how our lives and his would be for the better! When we arrived there was no high pitch barking, no jumping up on us, and no pulling on the lead! Hania did great with educating us on why he used to act the way he did and ways we can help him feel confident without him having anxiety (this was our first time engaging with an animal behavior specialist and wow how beneficial it was). One of the other things Hania taught him was place. This has been a life changer! No more charging people at the door and worried he would get out of the house! We have taken him back to Hania bc he seemed to forget how to heal as we took him on walks. As soon as she took his lead he followed right in step with her and healed like a pro! He knew she was the one in control and we were the pushovers. This taught us consistency is the key! Thanks to Hania’s insight of why dogs behave the way they do, her superior training skills, patience, and calmness our dog turned from being annoying to being our fur baby!! We are forever grateful!
